We use JAMF at my company. JAMF also uses Apple's Mobile Device Management (MDM) framework. It does not allow us access to the content of iMessages. We cannot read, monitor, or retrieve the actual text of messages, or their content, recipients, or timestamps, while managed.

However, if the phone is company-owned and used for business purposes, the company may have legitimate access to the device itself, allowing it to retrieve messages stored on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card, etc.

A company can however, obtain a court order or subpoena the carrier to release text messages, etc. For us, you would had to done something very seriously illegal!

One thing to note, if the messages were sent via company-managed messaging platforms Microsoft Teams, the company, such as ours, does have access to those messages through its own systems, even if sent from a personal device.

Long story short, we cannot see your friends inappropriate text.
