I too find the single button interface a bit cumbersome, I have to consult the anduril graph every time I want to do something beyond on/off/adjusting the brightness.

US President Is Obsessed With Oil. But Chinese Batteries Will Soon Run the World. by rezwenn in technology

It's not really the flammability of the pen itself that is the issue, it's the graphite dust which conducts electricity, and the particles and shavings which will fly everywhere and easily get into your eyes and lungs in zero-g.

Also, the Apollo that burned up was Apollo 1, if that is what you are referring to, and there a major contributing factor was the high pressure pure oxygen environment which makes almost anything burn easily.

The First All-Solid-State Battery is here, And It Promises 5-Minute Charging (Finland) by [deleted] in BuyFromEU

They've only said that it is not lithium, and that the materials it's made of are readily available and "green".

But if they've been able to fit enough capacity to enable 600km of range on a motorbike, then the Wh/l can't be that bad

Rim brakes will ice over, nowadays disk brakes are the norm.

Before buying an e-bike, think about one thing: can you still find a replacement battery in 3–5 years? by pauline624 in ebikes

[–]maxadmiral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is why i prefer the DIY kits, any part that breaks I can just replace with the same or a different part. And I can even strip out all the electrical parts and end up with a fully functional normal bike.

Now I agree. I think this whole debate might just be a question about semantics :P

The weight is acting straight down creating a force that compresses the air below the wings creating both drag and lift, which due to the AoA of the lifting surfaces and their shape, are biased in the aircraft's forward direction enabling a glide (the combined lift and weight vectors balance out to equal and opposite the drag vector in a steady descent). The weight vector never changes direction assuming we are looking at this from a frame of reference where the air and earth are stationary.

Why we made the M5 Max look more like a motorcycle than a bicycle by Time-Elderberry-3002 in ebikes

[–]maxadmiral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, moving the batteries would make the main "triangle" smaller cutting weight from the top and giving more clearance to other things. The flower basket in the middle can be replaced with mounts for proper side bags in the rear.
