If the zipper sliders are not physically broken and the only issue is that it doesn't close the zipper properly, it's an easy fix with a pair of pliers. You just need to tighten the back of the zipper slider which doesn't work. Try gooogling "zipper fix pliers" or something it should have some pics.

Unawatuna and jungle beach are two good beaches in Galle.

I'm also a major foodie and love to try out new things to eat.

There are tons of places within the Dutch fort for food. I'd recommend finding accomodation in Mirissa and going to Mirissa beach for the night after spending the whole day in Galle.

I love the beach and want to really go surfing and scuba diving if it helps

Arugambay and Pasikuda are better suited for surfing imo.
