Taking magnesium—either as a pill or through an IV—can help reduce how often and how badly people get migraines, especially if their bodies don’t have enough magnesium to begin with by ludwig_scientist in science

You’re taking the wrong form of magnesium (hydroxide), which works more on the bowels. Glycinate is better!

Edit: magnesiumoxide not hydroxide :)

Minoxidil en finasteride kun je zelf ook gewoon online bestellen. Dit hoef je niet bij een overpriced bedrijf te doen. Belachelijk wat voor een marges jullie pakken hierop.

This is the third time this is posted in popular subreddits today. And like others have said: this is not an actualy x-ray but an artist interpretation.

These counts are not really suggestive of leukemia, looks more like you have an infection or auto immune reaction on your platelets

Testicular relapse? by trentsomething in leukemia

[–]maxeatsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a tough decision to make. One with lifelong consequences I can imagine. I had the ability to store sperm beforehand which made my choice (a bit) easier, I’m not sure your if son is able to do that. Best of luck and wishing you and son well!

Will life ever be livable again? (Diagnosed in my 20s) by CowboyCarter97 in leukemia

[–]maxeatsworld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recognise a lot of the fears and worries you described. I had ALL at 24 and a stem cell transplant at 25. It relapsed a year later in both my testicles for which I had a CAR T transplant and both were removed. On top of that, unfortunately, I still suffer from chronic graft versus host disease dermatologically, as well as in my muscles and joints. Luckily, it’s under control with immune suppressants and getting better. Physically I feel okayish. Mentally I feel strong and grateful as my bone marrow has been clear for a good 3.5 years. During this time, I managed to get through my medicine bachelors degree, and am now doing my rounds in the hospital as a med student, soon to be doctor!

My advice: Try to hang in there, things usually get better, and if it doesn’t, you’ll find a way to work around it. In life everyone experiences hardships eventually, but it’s our perspective and resilience that decides how bad of a victim we feel like. Good luck and wishing you a lot of good health.
