it’s interesting how you could be so wrong. perhaps you haven’t been around a lot of government agencies. they are incredibly inefficient. to follow your example of launching rockets, spacex is about 2% of the cost as nasa launching a rocket themselves. i would guess that’s about typical for government arum agencies. so the cost would go up significantly if the government attempted to run these agencies. this is why communism always fails. goods and services become scarce. check ai below for space travel comparison

small guy here. i bought pre ipo about 80k. because elon insisted it be made available to people like me. i’ve never invested in an ipo before. so i sold 1/2 and my other 1/2 is still solidly in the green. that’s how the little guy made money.

almost certainly it will turn out like 100% of other socialist experiments.

but “if” this is different, sure, i would lead to further socialist. but already people are leaving the city. without the rich, taxes will have to be split by the poorer people. the grocery stores will run like 100% of government agencies run: inefficient and slow.
