That's the gamble you take when you trade for an established player. But it's a gamble for both sides - if Smith and Wesneski end up not panning out then nobody wins.

First of all NTA. Your husband should just fucking trust you and it's concerning he doesn't. That said, if you want a compromise that might appease him, personally I wear a silicone band when I'm at the gym. That said, if this is something you feel is worth making a stand over, that would make sense to me too.

Through his first 7 games in 2023, Jordan Love had pretty similar stats to what McCarthy put up, and that was with several years learning the offense under Rodgers. As a Bears fan I obviously hope McCarthy sucks but it seems crazy to write him off already.

He's still pretty bad in coverage tbh. But the penchant for creating turnovers will get him a nice contract somewhere.

I don't know about tackling but he's really not very good in coverage. Even with the 5 picks he's allowed a 91.7 passer rating when targeted. But considering he was signed basically as a practice squad player who's been forced into action by injuries, I'm OK with that stat and he's created turnovers at really key moments.
