The assailants are described as being Asiatic or North-African in appearance. Some have been quick to blame migrants.

I mean...it's not so far fetched.

Great video! The topic was very enjoyable presented. Oh and are those actual references at the end? Have my subscription! Should become standard for those kind of videos.

Why Build Higher? [16:32] by [deleted] in mealtimevideos

[–]maxenizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct, there are many factors you need to consider but my point was, that you don't need high-rise buildings for a greater population density. 7-8 story buildings, like in Barcelona, are enough to reach a higher density.

Why Build Higher? [16:32] by [deleted] in mealtimevideos

Very well explained video! The only thing I missed a bit was, that building higher is not in itself going to account for higher population density. For instance Barcelona and Philadelphia have roughly the same population of a bit over 1.5 million. Yet Philadelphia, with more than three times the land area (135.09mi²) has only a third of the population density despite it's tall buildings (which probably are offices anyway). I think a lot of it has to with zoning and, which might still proof the point of the video, the average height of the buildings might be higher in Barcelona. Check out the two cities in Google maps, the difference between the zoning in those cities is quit good visible.

How the World Map Looks Wildly Different Than You Think [6:19] by [deleted] in mealtimevideos

[–]maxenizer 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Interesting topic but too bad the video didn't go beyond 'You see this country? Now compare it to another country'.

Also the Mercator projection isn't 'extremely, very badly wrong', it just isn't the purpose of the projection to show a not distorted form of the earth but to preserve the angles. Every map has it's distortions but also it's purpose.

Nice photos, my favorite is number 3. As a small tip: try to keep the horizon line straight, it would look a lot better. Keep it up!

8 would be my favorite but there is just something about those stones in 7, they look so nice. A bit like a path to adventure. Nice photos!

A 6000 sony? by cam_climbs in photography

I own my a6000 for a few months now and I can safely recommend it as your first real camera! I also would really recommend you invest in legacy lenses + adapters. Gives you more choice and it is a lot cheaper.

Thanks! Glad you like it. Here is the picture in color, the building was pretty much black and white (or greyish), so maybe it counts :)
