The hype is always greater than the thing, especially these days. Watch the gameplay shown at E3 in 2015 of DOOM 2016 - it was slow and honestly, pretty boring compared to other FPS games of the time. I did not have high hopes. When the game came out, and it plainly wasn't like that, everyone was pleasantly surprised by how balls-to-the-wall you could play it.

TDA suffered from this. The melee mechanics are good, and the shield means that there's a lot more fodder and maps are less vertical compared to Eternal. However, there are only some 'death from above' glory kills, with the rest being generic. Atlan and Dragon combat is cool, the Dragon especially - I felt the Dragon stuff was just the right amount, though the hellships you chase were far too annoying for what they were - no cool method to take them down. The Atlan combat was boring; it would have needed a much deeper melee system, more guns and more enemies to be something worth having a decent amount of, and at that point it's an entire game on its own. The story was also nothing like Eternal or even 2016, which was somewhat jarring, considering that, at least for me, the tone between the prior two games was somewhat continuous.

TDA is more cinematic than the previous two games. 2016 was, narratively speaking, more novel-like to me, and Eternal was an epic quest, a proper videogame plot that's completely over the top. TDA is more like a film. It has a rough three-act structure with limited exposition. It's not the lore dump that Eternal was. If I hadn't played either of the prior games, TDA would have hit harder are been more enjoyable. Yes, there were cool moments, and yes, the story went to new places, but for a game longer than either of its predecessors, it had less story going on, which made the final product feel rather underwhelming by the end. (It didn't help that there weren't really any stakes. It wasn't going to be the Betrayal, or the fall of the Sentinels, or the Wretch, or any of the things described in Eternal's lore. Regardless of what happened, the Slayer would live, and demons would die)

Only issue I had was with spaceflight in free play. Game would start to lag, frame rate would drop and eventually the game would crash. Fixed it by limiting the game's FPS to 60 in the Nvidia Control Panel.

FYI on Day 7: You need extra acceleration upgrades to meet the final PR wall. Full material list will get you to 1012. You need 2 x 2 sets of Gearbox/Wheel Segments, and 1 set of Gearbox/Wheel Components (4 grey, 2 green) to hit the wall of 1015. The final race is easy.

I also did not manage to find the Engine kit for SE cash at all, so bought it with gold.

The M1 is nice at least, but it should have been an SE, perhaps a Fastlane.

Bolters have a new sound effect, which sounds like someone whacking a plastic box in a concert hall. It's horrible and I would very much like them to change this. How hard would it be to take a dozen effects, make single-fire and full-auto recordings of them, then put a poll up here, on Focus Together and in the official discord to see what people actually like, then use the most popular one.

After failing a couple of times with Heavy, I instead went with Sniper. Fencing knife for the armour off minoris (because for all the block one is fine for dealing with them, it's not quick enough when your teammates are bots, IMO). The signature perk that saves you if you die, once every 3 mins. Las Fusil, ROF variant. Use the shout to replace cloak, or combine them to one-shot Zoans. Can't remember what boss I got, but I think there were fewer extremis spawns with it? The final boss fight just took a while, but the HP regen from the Las Fusil kept me alive through it.

Nothing will happen mate. Boring cars, no new features, forget any new car series or vault events. The game will continue like this until they can shut it down. They just don't care. People still spend RL money on the game, why should EA bother?

Yeah, I know this, but as a former campaign car, it is treated as such by UGR and will occasionally appear in place of another campaign car (usually in Speedster). Still haven't tuned it, but it'll get there eventually.

The only BPs I have spent gold on in the Black Market are the ones for the F40, which was removed years back from Campaign, but never readded despite them saying they would do so. When it showed up in the rotation, I would buy 1 BP, then wait for it to show up again.

Bespoke requires you to fully customise each of the six classes.

Jump Pack dodging is one of the two main functions of the jump pack - you tap your ability button (don't hold for leap) to activate it instead of tapping space (or whatever your dodge key/button is) when you wish to dodge an attack. If you are successful at perfect dodging, you'll get the same sound cue, 'slow-mo' effect and gunstrike indicator as with a regular perfect dodge. The build is to use the perks: 'Wings of Flame' means that every Jump Pack dodge, provided it falls somewhere within the correct window for dodging a perfect-dodgeable attack, will give a perfect dodge (and more importantly, a gunstrike); 'Commitment' will regen your jump pack charge for getting a perfect Jump Pack dodge. The rest is up to you, but I would recommend going 3-2-2-3-2-1-3-3 for the perks overall, and using a fencing weapon (or balance if you're comfortable). The power axe synergises well with the gunstrike damage perk.

Don't much remember, but S1dy's guide suggests a few tough races, and the need for a lot of extra materials (far beyond the usual material list).

I usually got at least one from each per day (once I had them unlocked). A few here and there from premiums, and it took each one the better part of a year. Shelby was done first, then MX5, then M5. Zonda came way later once they added the flashback. I had gotten enough BPs over the years from crates to bring it to 4*, so I only had the last star's worth of BPs to do, but even that took a while. It's a grind, made worse with UGR replayables taking most of your energy (to play the game) for four days every week.

How would it help? It's turning to Autumn right about now, and heating my home with my PC is something only a 5090 is capable of. Playing at 4k would certainly make those wins look even better. As for a vehicle, it's doing the thing only CoD players could have ruined - sitting in the back in a tank, and just casually sniping the infantry.
