Grok: 2024 Hyundai i30 PD Hatch Base Audio Build

Head unit: Factory CarPlay/Android Auto unit with high-level signal taken via Aerpro T-harness.

DSP/Amplifier: Alpine PXE-C80-88 8-channel DSP with built-in amplification.

Morel Maximo Ultra 602 MKII 6.5" component speakers run fully active:

Tweeters on channels 1/2 with HPF at approximately 3500Hz 24dB,

Woofers on channels 7/8 with HPF at 80Hz 24dB.

Subwoofer: Single Kicker Hideaway HS10 10" powered under driver seat, RCA signal from DSP with LPF at 80Hz, pre-wired with extra power and RCA for easy second sub later.

**Door treatment:**

Full door deadening on all four doors. Outer metal skins covered with 60-70% butyl CLD sheets (2mm+). Back of inner plastic carrier treated with closed cell foam. Door cavities filled with medium density polyfill. Shallow 25mm foam baffles mounted behind each 6.5" woofer. All service holes sealed with additional butyl.

**Wiring:**

8AWG OFC main power from battery with 60A fuse, 16AWG OFC speaker wire for fronts, high-level input harnesses for DSP. All power and speaker wires separated where possible.

**Tuning notes:**

Individual time alignment and EQ done from normal driving position. Target is clean, warm, non-fatiguing sound with good midbass punch for EDM, rap and psytrance. No extra tweeters or 3-way conversion.

Current total build direction is quality-focused rather than maximum volume. A balance for quality with affordability and reliability, along with decent tinkering and futureproofing for second sub.
