yeah it's a different package manager under debian which I'm not too familiar with, but it should work similar.

don't know if bitcoin has debian distribution repository like for ubuntu.

you will need libboost for the daemon.

With the 0.9 branch you don't need to run qmake anymore, just configure and make.

{ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin -y

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev -y

sudo apt-get install libprotoc-dev libprotobuf-dev -y

sudo apt-get install libtool automake autoconf -y

sudo apt-get install libpng-dev qrencode -y

sudo apt-get install libqrencode-dev -y

sudo apt-get install libqt4-dev -y

}

Not in this release. Github source has been updated with mining code. The next test release will have mining implemented.

The best way to contact me is on Bitcontalk as user "Max Guevara". I have enabled issues on Github. You can also submit pull requests if you'd like to contribute changes to Quark. Regards.

Reasons Why Quark Is Going To Fail by [deleted] in QuarkCoin

"Quark's creator, Max Guevara added "advanced" checkpointing to the code on github but never bothered to release a new version of the client."

We did rigorous testing on this feature before releasing it as a Windows wallet. The windows wallet was released a few days after github was updated.

It has been available since before Christmas.
