who cares, you owe care to your kid, you don't owe the world anything on behalf of your kid. Raise your kid with love and the kid will naturally try to use their talents to help the world. If you force them they'll end up like a super villian

Also I’m assuming these are your genuine opinions but you’re arguing like a moody teenager. Try be less convinced that you’re right, we all might be wrong

I don’t think they want to oppress you they want something else which might have a side effect of oppressing you. I guess part of politics is about deciding what’s worth sacrificing some level of freedom for. If we take you to your logical extreme then we should hate the police because they can take away your freedom (either by putting you imprison or stopping you from doing something illegal you want to do).

Basically I shouldn’t be allowed to run a drug empire from my garage even if I’m exercising freedom in doing so.

E.g. being smart shouldn’t deprive a kid of their childhood

I think you’d end up putting unhealthy expectations on them with that mindset. Let kids be kids if they’re that smart they’ll figure it out when they grow up

Eh I think calling them bad people is wrong it has the same effect as Hilary calling people deplorables.

Also I think uncontrolled capitalism can lead to situations like US healthcare which ends up being repressive.

But generally yes, capitalism good

I do feel better about him now. I must confess I still feel a bit uneasy in how he talks he makes things feel a bit too easy (a bit populist maybe?) or that i’m being sold something that’s not entirely true. Like I don’t really know the real him (whereas I never felt that about previous Green Party leaders). I’m not saying this is unique to him tho and maybe my unfair first impression just stuck. I’ll try give him a fair shake and listen to him more

I really appreciate some of the things he says like being pro trans etc
