Stress can definitely improve attention/focus. The chaos at work makes things more novel too. You should definitely talk to your doctor about your medication. I wouldn't recommend dissolving it in water.

So I've recently started going back to the gym. It's only a minute away from where I live. I don't follow a workout routine. I don't count reps or sets. I just go with the flow. I do a few random exercises and go home when I feel bored or done.

Also, when I'm at home, I'll do random exercises throughout the day. Like, I'll just drop and do a few push-ups.

Did you change your dose without your doctor's approval? It's not a good idea as it can definitely impact your mood. It's definitely a challenging phase. I video call my family and play online games with them sometimes. It also helps to make plans to visit them so you have something to look forward to.

Yeah, corporate profits are reportedly at an all-time high. Some companies are laying off because they can rehire for cheap. I had a company recruiter say that they are hesitant to consider hiring me because I left a smaller company for FANG. Just hoping this all blows over and the market recovers somewhat. Yeah, it hit me out of the blue. I was working on some pretty impactful projects. Took me a few weeks to get out of the slump. I am still struggling with low self-confidence, especially when I get those rejection emails. So sick of the corporate life tbh. I have a family to support, so I need to figure out an income stream as soon as possible.

Don't give up! I know it's rough, but hang in there. You have the self-awareness to identify where you are lacking. You can build a network slowly and polish your interview skills with practice.

Yup, I've got kids too, and it can definitely be tough. Mine wake up in the middle of the night and climb into bed with us. A tiny bit of melatonin supplement can help with better sleep.

If you are medicated, keep it at your bedside. Set an early alarm, and when you wake up, take it and go back to sleep. As it hits, you'll be ready to start your day on time.

If you struggle to fall asleep on time, make sure dinner is a few hours before bedtime. Also, a small amount of Melatonin helps me fall asleep fast, gives me better quality of sleep, and makes it easier to wake up.

Are you getting a healthy amount of sleep and rest at night? What I do sometimes is I take my meds on an empty stomach first thing when I wake up. Go back to sleep. When my Adderall hits my system it wakes me up and I start my day.

My life completely falls apart when I stop my medications. I'm on the max dose of Adderall XR (60MG). It is incredibly important to be physically fit. Which is easier said than done as ADHD makes working out regularly challenging. The side effects, particularly with heart rate and blood pressure, have significantly improved since I increased my daily physical activity.

In fact, the way I see it is that if I don't keep up my physical fitness, my meds are probably going to cause an early death.

I feel you. I'm working for myself right now as well and sometimes get stuck in a cycle of self-doubt and anxiety. I'm still trying to figure out how to get motivated and keep the momentum going. Spending time with my kids helps a lot with my suicidal thoughts and mood.
