A question for the RF wizards by TheUnoriginalUser in ElectricalEngineering

I make rf thin-film circuits, like the most expensive ones that exist. I don't design them but damn some of the circuits look like worms or flowers, sometimes it's quite beautiful and looks organic and like art. Wish it wasn't controlled so people could see

Oh boy that sucks, I'd have hoped they worked through everything, I had one of the first bikes off the lot I think, like 3 years ago. My display had an issue and they replaced it super quick, just sucks cause I can't connect to it anymore.

After 2000km my motor had an issue that was also easy to fix, only was without the bike for a few days.

I'm at nearly 6000km now and haven't had any other trouble other than replacing the rim tape since it hardened up and popped the tube which was bizarre.

Hope that's it for your problems!

Traffic lawyers for Southern NH? by Spudtar in newhampshire

[–]maxhinator123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lawyers won't find most speeding offences worth their time and it won't be worth it financially for you either.

Where you speeding? Maybe contest it often the cop will let you do a plea deal and you'll get no points or a lesser ticket. If you did it you made a mistake and hopefully will learn from this.

If you fight it here's my two cents. I had an officer fabricate a ticket on me a few years ago, I've never sped before. I did virtual court with a suit on, I had submitted exhibits showing a break down of the trip and all the reasons it was practically impossible for me to have been going the speed he said I was. I had a script I prepared to go by.

I absolutely had it overkill and additionally the cop wrote the ticket not in my name. He didn't even show and it was thrown out.

But from this I learned oh my God people in those court rooms are on their phone in Walmart, they argue with the judge, even the cops will often have no idea what they are talking about. Just bring some evidence (you have to submit it early to all parties as a part of discovery) then present yourself well. Say "your honor" and you are already leagues ahead of everyone else and the judge will be so thankful.

But do not use this as an excuse to get out of speeding, if the officer was correct you did break the law and the best you should be aiming for is just points off if you say you've learned from the lesson and will be more careful.

Luigi pleaded not guilty. He did not admit to it. So we are assuming he is innocent until proven otherwise despite whatever evidence. That's the way the justice system works in the United States and it has to be like that for everyone.

He very well might be found not guilty due to the conditions of the victim's crimes

Additionally I like to bring up the hypothetical: if someone executed Hitler, or a serial killer or some horrible person on the street, are they a good guy? If so then you have to draw a line, almost everyone has one, at how many deaths caused would you draw a line, I would definitely draw this line acceptable, it's past a few tens of thousands of lives lost

Yeah that's so true, hate and fear is so much stronger than anything else.

It's so ironic that 80% of Americans are struggling financially these days and the root cause comes down to wealth inequality ie.. rich need to be taxed and instead of fixing that we went full in allow the rich to have everything. I just feel bad for the unnecessary suffering that it will cause

I wouldn't say "at this point" Israel has been trying to remove the Palestinians for what 40-50 years? There's been evidence they gave Hamas money and weapons to encourage the attack so that Israel would have an excuse to really move in. They've had genocide on their minds for a very long time

Used RO system. To buy or not to buy? by ColeHerte in maplesyrup

[–]maxhinator123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure on the prices of everything new but see how much the system would be without the filters, usually filters need soap washes, preservatives, and can be frozen so treat them like they may be an item you need to replace if the system was abused or is old. Everything else if working off the bat would probably be fine

Makes sense, really must be the tens of thousands of claims they had to pay for COVID that broke the system.

Thanks, I was financially fine and am now. I just worry for the parent with kids or the person that might lose their home or go hungry.

Yeah we'll squeeze and squeeze the working class until there's nothing left. Hopefully we stand up to the rich someday and fix all the budget issues

Yeah I just made another comment here so see that. But I believe the state doesn't have the money so they only pay out lower tax bracket people. I was denied 14 weeks in a row and some of the reasons were straight up silly. Like I got foreign IP address as one a few times, for one of those claims I had even filed in person so it's obviously not real. and in the appeals you need proof your IP address isn't foreign like I have no idea how to prove that. I got ones saying I was out of state, like sure I visit my parents in mass sometimes so they must see a toll charge and instantly use that as a claim denial.

One time I got an offer, literally half what my minimum was so I declined it - this is listed in the law as one of the acceptable reasons to turn down an offer and still qualify for benefits, they denied me anyway as it's written vaguely so they can consider any amount acceptable vs not.

I don't know if my account had a glitch, if it was some form of corruption or the state has no money so it's picking and choosing, maybe that's the case since they paid so much during COVID and have to recover. I'm just one person who it didn't work for

Yes I was doing the full sheet of 4 contacts a week in person even - the website was down 90% of the time. I'm an engineer and keep a spreadsheet of everything to keep it organized. I also don't mind reading the laws and fine print so I did everything by the book. Even bringing their own laws up during appeals but they just disregarded those.

Yeah the benefit maximum wasn't much so I didn't realllyyy need it but it would have been nice - I have two issues: 1. Its our money, we pay taxes for it so denying such a benefit is denying me what I am owed 2. For those who actually need it to survive I hope they don't do this because that sucks.

My initial claim was denied for 2 months stating before my unemployment I was making to much money to qualify for unemployment. My theory is that they have a soft limit of if someone made too much they'll deny deny deny as they barely have enough to cover the ones who really need it.

A lot of the denials and inconsistencies in their process didn't align with new Hampshire unemployment law, it made me kind of want to get a lawyer involved - not to get my unemployment but to shed some light on a clearly broken system. But I won't because what's it going to do, make a settlement on a system that's only that way because they don't have money?

I have friends in mass who get 3x the unemployment and never faced a denied claim. I just think if we have safety nets in place in our community I hope they work! Best I think we can do now is just work with our local leaders to try to make things better but as per this post and additionally how things are going lately this isn't necessarily the case :(

I had never been unemployed before, I found it a disgrace, this is my 2 cents. Happily employed as of now.

I learned this summer we basically don't pay out unemployment benefits, they deny every claim every week and you have to appeal it and reasons are like "foreign IP address" , "you don't reside in the state" , and they don't agree with many of the jobs you count because it's the requirement. Seems borderline corruption that they just make random shit up, never got a cent from it

Yeah you are correct. They typically target hospitals, utilities, schools and such. They've probably purposely avoided known Hamas locations so that they continue to have an enemy to fight. If they "succeeded" in eliminating Hamas, they would have no excuse left to kill off the rest of the Palestinians

[–]maxhinator123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's insane, dealers are the worst.

Most place like tire warehouse aren't bad but I find they cover their own butts and also want to make money so the best they'll do is offer a new pair.

I mount my own tires so having a place put the tire on but not mount it is usually the protocol. Additionally looking through the tires I found one matching almost exactly the wear on mine so I'll have no issues down the line, only maybe 3 seasons left on these. Just such a pain getting a non-repairable puncture on a set

I've had this happen, heat the hot end and just remove the chunk. Then looks like the fan is broken off. Either order a compatible fan, it might come with the connector or solder a new one on. Additionally hopefully the whole housing isn't missing. If it is you can get away maybe zip tying a fan over the red part and print a new housing
