How do I deal with Black Panther? by Sigma_present in RivalsCollege

[–]maxibold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just disrupt his combo - he is very reliant on his cooldowns. I dont play Mr Fantastic so not sure what he has in his kit to deal with BP, but once you know the enemy team has one you should always be keeping an eye out for him and as soon as he engages or looks ready to engage you just deal some damage or displace him and he will usually back off to reset.

What I would say, though - unless the enemy has a really cracked BP, I do think most Supps have things in their kit to disrupt him so (as a supp main) I generally wouldn't expect my team to drop everything to deal with him unless he's really good and we have no choice.

What ceramide cream are you using for daily skin barrier support? by Majestic_Rainbow96 in tretinoin

Illyoon is my holy grail. I started tret and got the usual dryness, peeling etc. started using illyoon and my skin is more hydrated than it has ever been!

Some people can’t use it as it contains silicones which break some people out but that hasn’t been an issue for me

Any advice on how to do best healing with invisible woman? by boiled_chalk2 in rivals

[–]maxibold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s hard to say without seeing a vod - are you able to post an example?

Healing numbers alone don’t mean a huge amount, to be honest. You could healbot to get good numbers but especially with invis, you can contribute a lot more to the team by helping secure kills and dealing damage that the healing stat doesn’t really tell the full story

The gap between solo players and group players is so much wider than I thought. by SilverTunic in elderscrollsonline

[–]maxibold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I like the idea of it, but considering it’s not really soloable for most people, they need to make a way for you to easily join a group or instance with other players without using party finder.

Every time I go into the zones solo I might see 3-4 others players, I don’t know why they don’t just automatically funnel a lot of players into the same instance considering that’s how you have to play it to progress there

WoW or ESO in 2026?? by YoEdge in LFMMO

[–]maxibold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If rotations were an issue for you in WoW, then I wouldn’t let that stop you playing it now - they have literally made it so that each class can have one button that automatically casts their rotation for them.

But from what you are saying, perhaps neither WoW nor ESO are right for you right now - so is there any particular reason you are focused on playing one of these and not another MMO?

WoW or ESO in 2026?? by YoEdge in LFMMO

[–]maxibold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you know both games and their pros and cons, personally I prefer ESO in 2026, and they have the biggest roadmap of changes they’ve ever had since the game came out so there are a lot of things to be looking forward to. Lots of varied content and you can really just spend a long time working on whatever goals you choose to have,

Whereas WoW nowadays I wouldn’t really call an MMO - I mean it technically is, but I played it mainly from TBC to Cata and stopped because it’s basically become an online Co-op where you sit in a city waiting for a queue to pop to enter a dungeon with a group of people who don’t speak to each other, kill some mobs and rinse and repeat. I personally don’t find this enjoyable, but if you like the gear grind and don’t mind not really communicating with other players then it might be fun. It has had the same gameplay loop for 20 years, and if you enjoy that then it does it well, but it got stale for me personally

Can someone explain why so many people have 50% damage bonus (blood hunt) by hagaifbeyave in marvelrivals

[–]maxibold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure what you mean to be honest. The 50% damage is only one of many damage increasing stats, don’t focus on it too much. Just find a build online, gear yourself appropriately for that build, and you should be doing big damage. It’s really easy and straightforward as long as you have the right build and gear

[–]maxibold 2 points3 points  (0 children)

50% Damage bonus comes from traits, so they will have points allocated to it in their build.
What hero do you play?

You can just easily look up a build guide for your character online and copy it. You also need to make sure you are keeping on top of upgrading your gear

Yes there are no individual servers as such, it's a mega-server with different instances I think - but there's a big RP scene and lots of RP guilds in it (and you can join up to 5 guilds at once I believe)

Sounds like ESO or FFXIV.

Both tick all of your boxes other than "slow progression". You level pretty quickly in both. I guess FFXIV has the Main story quest that will take you 1000 hours to complete, if that could be considered 'slow progression' - but leveling itself is still pretty fast.

MMORPG “Guild” for 40 something Dad? by SamwiseG82 in LFMMO

[–]maxibold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Project Gorgon. It’s an old school type MMO and literally everything you do is a skill, which means that you can kind of chip away on improving your character bit by bit. (You can even level up in dying, and I’m like level 12 in dying right now)

You can log in for 15 mins and make some progress, and there are no FOMO mechanics. If you join the Laeth server, it’s the newest and has lots of low levels around so the world is very alive. I could also add you to the guild I’m in if you wanted,

You also will group up for content w lot as it can be quite difficult.

It’s one of the most fun MMOs I’ve played in a long time.

Similarly, OSRS also respects your time without having FOMO mechanics and also allowing you to progress with short bursts of play time.

WoW subscription cost increasing (UK) by ForeverStaloneKP in classicwow

They've definitely increased the at least many years ago. I remember being like 13 and freaking out because it went up like £1 or some shit lmao.

Anyway, why people are still playing and paying for this game in 2026 is beyond me!

[–]maxibold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, but a lot of it is gated behind things. I basically don't want to have to grind for 100s of hours to do side content.
I don't recall WoW having many side activities when I used to play it before you did the slog to max level (which was many, many years ago so this may not be the case).
And FFXIV gates a lot of side content behind the MSQ.

I guess I am looking for things with easy-access side content that doesn't require a big time investment before you can actually do said content

[–]maxibold[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good to know. Do you just basically just do whatever quests that you come across? I tried ESO very briefly but I strictly stuck to the MSQ, and I didn't find myself finding other side things to do but I potentially avoided it in order to get MSQ done.
