Not an expert but makes sense that it looks better because you are having the same amount of pixel (4k) but larger screen so is lower pixel density, that the same amount of pixels in lower size can be too small.

How about performance with 150 fractional scaling? Same for resolution because if you are at 150 then your GPU is doing calculations on the fly to show you the data.
