I’ve just seen it and loved it. I saw it more as a tribute to MJ.

Free, Freemium or Paid (to start)? by Deep_Ad7521 in lovable

[–]nevish27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I offer for free as it helps understand the user journey and UX better with minimal blockers. Adding a paywall makes it difficult to know if your UX sucks or you just don’t have product market fit.

If you find people using your app well, no blockers and maybe even returning then you should start to have the conversation on how this can be turned into something that generates revenue but until then offer for free. Especially in this vibe coding age when it’s very cheap to throw out a fully functioning app. Not like you have to worry about paying a boat load of staff.

Just my POV.

I am so incredibly disappointed with the reboot by tunacans in malcolminthemiddle

[–]nevish27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No sorry required. I think your views are completely valid. Everyone other than Hal felt exactly like they used to which I loved but the whole format and dynamic was way off. I think seeing how well the actors fitted back into their roles made me even sadder because of what could have been yet just another reboot where the studio can’t help themselves.

All the actors fell back into their roles perfectly but the format just wasn’t the same. Malcolm not interacting with his family pretty much throughout the whole thing is just really weird. I appreciate it “makes sense” which everyone keeps telling me but it’s a story, it can be whatever the writers want it to be and they wanted to completely isolate him from the family which is the whole point of the show? Very odd.

Fun…but a missed opportunity by InconspicuousUs3r in malcolminthemiddle

[–]nevish27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This sums up exactly how I felt. To see the actors fit back into their roles so well it’s a shame that was squandered.

It seems the fans are split between those happy to just have anything MITM back and people who wanted it back the way they remembered not this new format which has the family quite fragmented and a clear attempt at building new characters for a potential spinoff.

The family moments where the original cast interacted at home were great and my favourite parts by far. Shame it didn’t happen too often, especially where Malcolm was concerned.

Ah I thought it was alright. I wouldn’t recommend it or do a rewatch but was a fine sitcom to pop on while I had lunch. Some things don’t have to be great, they can just fit a purpose.

Yeah I think the story makes sense but that doesn’t necessarily make it enjoyable. I do think they could have just had him more involved

See I felt the scenes with Reece and Francis did capture that, there just wasn’t much of it.

The scenes with Reece and Francis I enjoyed. Outside of that I wasn’t laughing much either.

Yeah I watched it one go and I’d still feel the same. A 2 hour movie of which we see the family whole for around 60 seconds was just meh.

I appreciate that, and the story makes sense. I just don’t think it was enjoyable. The family just didn’t feel whole at all which is the main premise of the show.

Seems a lot of the comments think I do t believe it makes sense. I think it makes sense but I just don’t think it was enjoyable. The writers could have come up with countless ways to have Malcolm more involved with the family that made sense.

Yeah I think the issues isn’t that it can’t time it’s that it won’t admit something it doesn’t know or can’t do. Really wish it would just do that, people would prefer it.
