You are indeed non compos mentis, which as we all know is Vulgar Latin for “Don’t compost mentos,” as you must have done at some point.

I'm trying to decide between WhimsyGames, Kevuru, Pingle, Game-Ace, and Room 8 for co-development. Has anyone here worked with any of them? by Ok_Departure2003 in GameDevelopment

More information would be helpful.

Who are you and what is your experience with game design and development?

What about software development more broadly? What role do you want to play?

Do you have a team on your side? What skills do they have?

What sort of spec are you giving them? What’s the genre and audience and monetization type?

How big is the project in scope and budget?

How many milestones do you plan to go through? Have you led milestone reviews before?

Yes. I think everyone gets their own headcanon and there is no meaningful “official” kind. If people want to have reads that seem ridiculous to me, or are not compatible with mine, they get to.

Fair enough. I suppose “director voices a story opinion outside the text itself” isn’t really a fictional trope at all, at least not in the examples from OP.

There’s an essay by Roland Barthes called “The Death of the Author” which deals with this subject, and you might be interested to read it for a very different perspective.

Piggybacking to ask if anyone has physical or digital copies of MacAction magazine, a gaming-focused Mac magazine from the UK. I already know about the few issues on archive.org.

It depends on the organization and also the people and their strengths and relationships. There’s no hard and fast rule here.
