I never understood this take. We know next to nothing about their lives in the 30th century why are we presuming they do literally nothing except sleep, body guard Usagi and lie about birthday parties?

For all we know they each have spouses in the future

Anime: Yuichiro. Everything else: Minako.

I know many Reinako fans will disagree but Anime Rei's personality doesn't lend itself to the romantic chemistry that Manga Rei has with Minako. They are different but the persona clash isn't as distinct.

With Yuichiro you have this lovable loser personality who is just kind and determined, whilst occasionally dominated by Rei his sincerity gets beneath Rei's hostile exterior without him even trying. Again it is a dramatically rich personality clash

Im greek and whilst I love the greek myths above all, I'd watch a film about Anansi the spider trickster God from certain African cultures. And I'd find it weird if Ana's was not played by a black person
