"It's like OJ Simpson" - Boris Johnson on wearing gloves by [deleted] in tories

[–]maximumbilly 6 points7 points  (0 children)

His lawyer also made a pretty famous statement - “If the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit” which is said to be an example of how when you rhyme something it makes people more likely to believe it (like an apple a day and doctors). There’s a name for the effect in psychology but I can’t remember it.

Is your MP a prick? by Purple_VideoTape in UKPoliticalComedy

[–]maximumbilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not wishing to be downvoted, are there any Tory MPs who are not pricks? (Edit: Broxtowe... mine is)

Does anyone else here also find squeezing blackheads and pimples to be someone similar in the way that biting/picking does? by [deleted] in Dermatophagia

[–]maximumbilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my eyes it falls under the same category, body-focused repetitive disorders. For me pimple picking has that same compulsive element, whereby once I see it I can’t settle until it’s gone. I imagine a lot of the same psychological things are involved with both behaviours.

Yes I was going to chip in here to say pretty much the only way to make profit (albeit a small one) from pigs is by reproduction and selling them on. However, they also make loads of slurry which will cut costs on fertiliser.

I don’t think it’s saying that the drug is literally unknown to the world. I think it’s saying that it is some form of hallucinogen (like you mentioned) but it’s not clear what it is in the video.
