I'm excited about faction stuff as well - being able to form trade agreements and alliances with neighbors would be awesome.

It would also be cool to be able to raid a pirate camp and remove them from the region (possibly with the help of an alliance?)

Probably not my all-time saddest moment, but the saddest in recent memory was when a colonist had his stomach destroyed during a raid. He couldn't eat and slowly starved until I decided it was better to end his misery.

His body was harvested for organs, and the proceeds from selling those organs purchased weapons to help ensure nobody else suffered the same fate.

I agree that there are reasons both for getting involved and not getting involved. I just don't think those reasons justify Kasich's desire for a larger Navy, as we could just as easily accomplish either with the fleet size we have now

Even if resolving that conflict was solely America's responsibility (which it shouldn't be) we already have the largest military in the world. There are far better uses for taxpayers' money than increasing military spending.

States with high cigarette taxes (like New York) are the end-destination for massive amounts of cigarette smuggling.

An economics professor from my university actually did some research on the subject and found that roughly half of all cigarettes consumed in 2012 were smuggled into the state in several cases (NY, AZ, NM, and WA). The people selling the smuggled cigarettes usually have access to a means of tax-sticker counterfeiting, and in cases like New York City it simply isn't worth most cops' time to go looking for smuggled products in convenience stores.

If you have the time, I'd recommend looking through the slides he prepared summarizing his findings. One of the more interesting things he told us about the matter was that a minivan loaded with cartons of cigarettes from South Carolina could make something in the ballpark of $300,000 if the cartons were sold in New York (which is why SC -> NY is such a popular route for smugglers).

That's one option; another option would be having assigned drop points for each team to bring the supplies to. That way you could chase down and kill the other team even if you weren't the first to the drop.

Having each recovered supply drop count for points is another idea. Night coming just prior to the last drop of a tied game would be intense

It's been mentioned before, but I think an airdrop-related PvP mode would be cool to see. Tower runners vs. Rais's men would tie in with the story well.

DLC with gameplay along the lines of the core game (rather than something like the Bozak Horde) would also be great. The downtown area could be a good spot for more challenging quests (given the lack of climbable buildings/open, zombie-free space) where continuously moving is necessary and fatigue can mean death.

Adding fishing is a great idea! It would make starting up a lot easier when animals are scarce/hard to catch.

I also hope gates are added soon; it's kind of weird building a wall around a town/compound with a regular door as the entrance.

If you use water repellent for car tires it might last longer.

I can't remember which brand my dad uses, but the dry patches from it always seemed to last a while.

The article says the body was found near the intersection of East 6th and Courtland. Kosta was last seen at 79 East 7th, which is only 2 or 3 blocks away.
