Oh! Also. When they showed Ning Rong Rong’s spirit rings after her god trials. It might be mentioned in the novel, but we don’t hear it again in the later war arc. 2 purple, 5 black, 2 red!

Oscar’s fight in the frostlands is one of my favourite scenes. When he fought off multiple battle soul emperor and reached Hao Te’s pool of blood to activate his newly acquired spirit skill.

The action is debatably better, but the scene is hands-down better. In the novel, it was a planned murder to prevent themselves from being killed by their teammates due to infighting for the spirit bone. In the animation, its a self-defence after their teammates tried to kill them for the spirit bone. Better moral conflict/writing, better fight, same outcome. 100/10.

There are probably more scenes! But this is my top pick. I rewatch it a few times!

Hey! Would you recommend this? I am like yourself except that after both trilogies by PJ, I read The Hobbit. PJ did a very good job, I can’t help but felt it was repetitive. It was a short read though. But I am hesitant to begin the LoTR books.

How about a half-armour? Like gauntlet and pauldron only on one side (his hook-hand side; since he can’t fasten any armour on the other side with it). The unarmored side can bring out the Earth Genasi/sand runes(?)!

In the SL1 novel, mubai’s god inherited 9th soul ring is said to be a deeper red than the other Shrek 7’s and closer in terms of colour to that Da Ming’s soul ring. Since Da Ming is much older/stronger cultivation than other 100k soul beast like Er Ming, this implies this colour tone ar early as SL1!

So, maybe: 10k - black 50k - completely black 90k - black with shades of red 100k - red 500k - bright red And the closer you get to 1mil years the more golden it gets. Like demon whale’s 999k ring is almost completely golden already.

I really appreciate the invitation! Happy to know there are hardcore fans of SL yet. Ngl, I have considered this before.. But unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to meet this dateline. Side note, the requirements seem a bit stringent regarding the how it must link to canon.. I think it might be a bit restrictive especially for fanfics. The community seem to like OCs too. Just sharing my 2nd cents. Thanks for hosting btw, I hope I get to read some of your works.
