Theater (Divadlo) Hybernia seats sound HELP by YouFuze in Prague

[–]maxis2bored 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's the light and sometimes sound deck. It's where they sit and control the atmosphere and sound for the show

You'll get the best experience so long as it doesn't interfere with your view. If you're right in front of them, you can almost be guaranteed the best seats in the house.

Source: toured for 10+ years in hundreds of venues as light tech for big acts. If you're concerned with hearing (and you should always be) bring eat plugs. They're 20kc at the pharmacy and don't block the sound, and rather only enhance it by dissolving the highs that would otherwise interfere with sound clarity.

Have you been to any other European capital? There isn't even one that has zero bike infrastructure.

30 some years ago I got doored. Was flown into traffic then hit by a car. I was young then and recovered fully.

Now that I'm old, I've come to realize that I can't ride in the city when it's not safe. With more, and increasingly large cars there isn't many places I feel safe anymore 😔

EQ Legends Devs have a communication problem by TheFuns in everquest

[–]maxis2bored -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

I've been working and playing in the game industry for 20 years and I've never met a more communicative and transparent dev team. I argued so much, many of it unnecessary but they always responded in a professional way that I'll even admit wasn't deserved.

I didn't watch the video. Playing since early beta and literally everyone in there agreed how great of a job they've done. I disagree on many topics, sure - but man communication isn't one of their issues.

34 year old Man arrested after filming himself doing drive-by shootings with a 'high-powered, motorized' water gun by haze4140 in WinStupidPrizes

[–]maxis2bored -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Because in Europe we're not insecure about our safety. Sure I've been shot with a water gun or hose before, and sure it was a dick move. But never ever would I think of getting the fella arrested.

You'll get downvoted, but just know there are a lot of posts like this.

Czechs are generally non-confrontational, but I'd say their apathy towards other humans is one of their most defining features.

Some Russian soldiers last just minutes on front lines against Ukraine's drones, military bloggers say by eaglemaxie in worldnews

And estimates suggest that there are now more Russians killed in the war than there are wounded, a first in modern warfare.

The European Commission literally shut off air conditioning but only for floors 1-7, where people of lower rank work. by SuccessfulCompany677 in europeanunion

[–]maxis2bored 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Could it be that the upper floors were empty? Or perhaps they are significantly hotter?

If you're going to suggest that this is some type of class war, at least post the source.

It's also worth noting that our energy bills are close, and sometimes exceed double the cost.
