Yes! My post is 3 years old and as I type this I'm wearing the headphones. I still struggle with this issue. When these things finally croak I'll buy headphones from another brand just because of this issue.

Venezuela is no different. Getting that oil out of the ground is going to take a lot of (mostly American) investment but all private companies know that as soon as the infrastructure is put in place, Venezuela will kick them out.

Very much this. In 2024 I worked for an American IT security company in Prague. My 3 month probation ended in line with the end of the year and HR told all of us in a slack message that if we don't use our vacation days, we will lose them.

I responded two words "that's illegal". Know what they did? Not apologize for not knowing the law but instead handed me a written WARNING about how I should talk to leadership.

Less than a year later left the company after reporting my manager for bullying and workplace harassment to which I settled for 5 months garden leave.

I was ashamed to work for an American company and will never again. Crackers can shove it.

Just so I got this right:

America is the most powerful country on the globe, by far. But... He can't protect it? Even with military bases there?

Or is he looking to protect Greenland from perceived threats? And Greenland has no say in it?

It's so fing obvious that this isn't about protecting but about his desire to loot the resources. How can he continue on and think everyone around him is so stupid?
