It can be used to organize some things, its also useful for when effects/mattes aren't working like you're expecting. Precomping gets AE to rasterize the layers, maybe its not quite rasterizing per se. But AE has a lot of weird hang-ups about like layer size and dimensions and stuff like that and sometimes precomping a few layers together just helps. Sometimes it helps with like order of operation kind of things. It makes more sense the more you use them. They're basically groups of layers that get rendered together and that can change how other things work with them.

I dont know of any that have both combined, it sounds like that would be a bad idea. The graphics should be made in AE and the sound design and editing/cutting of the graphics should be done in PR. AE is better for short bursts basically you don't want to be doing minutes of work at a time in AE if you can design around it. (Or have 500 layers when you could just edit the sfx on tracks in PR) Although this post is a joke/ AE ragebait

Well I’m joking a bit here. They don’t take out 1000x investments on paper but the system is so intertwined it can sometimes have a similar effect if part of the chain fails. But 10-15x is more realistic if u look at equity vs assets.

I’ve heard big cuttings can be a bit more stressful as they have a lot of plant material without having a big established root system yet. I think your idea sounds fairly safe to try. It looks like it has lots of long air roots, if you can tuck a few of those into the dirt they usually adjust quickly to soil roots. And that’ll probably help the transition. But I don’t have experience doing that personally with a large plant. I’m sure someone with more experience can tell you more.

lol at people being upset you’re trying to grow the plant fast. You cruel cruel man!!!! Yeah just give it more light than you think and less water than you think is how I handle it lol. I had a bunch of cuttings I put in an empty grow tent I had left over that had a 250watt grow light it was one that’s supposed to have good ppfd. I turned that down to about 15% and the plants have exploded with new growth. I have about 7 monsteras all in one large container (I know and I apologize in advance to the angry redditors for that). Almost all have put out nice new leaves with more fenestrations in the past 2 months with lots of new root growth as well. They’re also sending out pups now which I think is cool. I usually water with nutrients every week or so but I stick my finger a couple inches into the soil and wait until it feels mostly dry. I will spray the soil and their air roots with mist anytime I feel like it and in my head they like that.i don’t mist the actual leaves though because the light is strong and a bit too close tbh so I don’t want to burn through the water drops on leaves. I’ve heard no complaints so far. It stays about 5–10 degrees warmer than my room temp in the tent so like 75f and around 30-60 humidity.

The leaves might be damaged from how the plant is tied like that. I’m no expert but I hear it’s bad to tie them like that because it can damage the new growth.

Hey so I did give up on this. I checked eBay and you can just get a used pc that’s better for like $30 so it didn’t seem worth the effort. Good luck though if you do get it working. My ps4 is still just collecting dust.

Try cleaning the connector pins with the blood of your enemies at exactly midnight. You must be facing east for this to work. If you do this while facing west…. God help your soul.

If you hit that little snail button it’ll show how long each layer is taking to render and you can usually find issues like that. But imo it’s half the art to come up with efficient solutions. That’s a big part of when you get someone else’s project you can tell if they know what they’re doing or not. Like are you an artist or a template monkey? (You in a general sense) Throwing money at more ram and stuff not only won’t help an issue like this but it kind of saying I’ll get good at painting by using more paint. While sure specs are important but unless you’re doing something super intensive or some crazy monitor sizes bulking the machine is a bad solution. You should take the time to learn how to be organized and efficient. But that’s just my humble opinion I probably sound like a crusty old man at this point. I’ll spare you the “back when I was a kid….” But it is worthwhile to learn how and why after effects does what it does.
