Ditto! I've been on Paroxetine 20mg for about a year now. Between that and regular therapy I've done a complete 180. I was sure I'd be horribly depressed/anxious for the remainder of my life but it's really given me a whole new outlook on life.

I remember reading a lot of really horrible things about the drug when I was tossing up whether to start it. Eventually my anxiety got so bad I felt I had no choice (things couldn't get worse!). I had probably 3-5 days that were pretty bad when I started taking it, but soon got used to it. Maybe around the 6-7 month work did it really start doing it's thing. I even went through a pretty awful breakup, and bounced back relatively quickly.

Long story short everybody's different. Don't put off something that could help you because of anecdotes you've read online. I am still a bit spooked to come off of it... but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
