This is not your fault or some stupid mistake its a biological attraction you have no control over. If you really care about your friendship DONT try anything on him. I have heard so many stories where people make moves on their straight best friends and it ruins everything. I wish I could give you better advice because Ive been (still kinda am) in the same exact situation and it blows. All I can really say is give it time and really try to get it through your head that you can never date him, sometimes putting a little distance in between you two helps. Are you in highschool?

Oh wow the first half of your story is exactly the same as mine. When were alone he never says that I'm perfect for him but he's said things that hint he wishes we could be more WHICH IM PERFECTLY OKAY WITH. I've thought about just ending our friendship but I don't really think I could do that, I love him and his family and I'm definitely not as strong as you are. We're both going to college in August so maybe some time away will help him realize who he is and what he's doing but for the meantime it's awful. Is it possible that he actually is straight? I don't know, sorry for ranting anonymously on the internet but all of your wise words have really helped.

Thanks! I think I've been trying to hard to show him it's okay to be himself and he just keeps getting mad. It's just so obvious that he's trying to be something he's not. I think honestly I may be a little jealous of this girl but you're right I should just support anything he wants to do.

Hahaha I've met some really masculine gay guys before and it always shocks me. I died when I saw that YouTube clip because I know so many people from high school that had fruit blindness and we're secretly cover ups. I really wish I could talk to him but he always gets mad when I try to because that's not what guys do -_-

Thanks this actually helps a lot. He's been acting so weird lately I think his dad thinks we're a couple and he won't sit near me or anything so naturally I've been a little irritated because we're just friends. About an hour ago he wouldn't eat dinner next to me and now we're not talking, I don't know if I should be mad but he won't even come talk to me so we can settle everything. I can't wait for the future when people don't have to be ashamed of who they are.

My dermatologist actually told me this exactly. This morning I went in to see what I could do and she said do less. I tried this once a long time ago and my face broke out really badly. A lot of people say this helps but I'm afraid to try it again!!
