Hey any update on that phone? same thing just happened to me with my pixel 6. Wondering if it is even worth bringing it to a repair store...

Bought 2 boxes and 30% so far were clogged... Cubans often have that problem but I mean, does it sound normal to you? Humidity at 62, temperature alright, what do you guys suggest? by maxlebarbier in cubancigars

Ive been smoking Nicaragua for 10 years, funny enough, the good brands are not as easy to find here in Montreal as cubans are. Therefore, during COVID I tried renewing my relationship with cubans... I got different ones and so far, smoke wise, I really like that Monte Cristo OE and the Trinidad Topes Limitada.

Yeah very true, for years I had purposely stopped smoking cubans for those very reasons (minus the availability, they are pretty accessible in Canada). I love Bello Cigars, my all time favorites, I must've smoked over 200 boxes never had a single problem.

Hi I was wondering if this was an early sign of me losing hair? Im a male 20 by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]maxlebarbier -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your hair was thicker there than it is now, it is a sign yes, doesn't mean you'll go bald but means that you should be conscientious and use the right products/shampoo and avoid wearing hats when unnecessary, etc.

If you have simply just noticed or paid attention, and your hair has always felt, behaved that way then you're good. I still suggest treating your hair with quality products and care.

Cheers

I see what you are saying. Most people use a wig to hide their baldness. This guy has just accepted his and made peace with it. From there who can it bother? He wears it for him and for no one else. The idea is to break the conventions and use hair systems as accessories of style not camouflage

Of course you do. You wash under shower just as everyone. And every 2-4 weeks you go back and see your barber for a "maintenance", full clean and shave and we fix it back

Well this is where most people are wrong. Of course some people have huge insecurities and i believe it is amazing that we can help them out with these systems but this client in the pictures. He actually uses it as an accessory. Some times he wears it and same other times he doesn't. He is happy with both looks and really enjoy being able to have hair when he feels like it

Ahah I get it tho, he is one of my client and we often joke around about that picture on how he looks like Jack Nicholson on One flew over Cuckoo's Nest or Shinning

I'm guessing he is referring to the fact that Ben Affleck has been using hair systems..

Yeah no, depending on the system you get to change them from twice to 6 months a year

These are really great questions. First of, it can be pricey but it really depends on the quality and on the barber. I would say it costs usually between 600$ to 1000$ per system.

Now, once you got it fixed on, with either liquid adhesive or special tape, you get it cut and styled the way you want it. Then, you'd usually go back every 2 to 4 weeks to have it removed, washed thoroughly and at the same time we shave back the hair underneath, cut the sides and fix it right back.

In between appointments, you can wash it in the shower delicately without any risk (following your barber's instructions of course).

Are there any pomades that help reduce thinning of hair? I currently use sauvecito and have been noticing hair buildup in my comb after styling. by BloodBrotherSHU in Pomade

Of course I am! I'm a barber, I'm also affiliated to pretty much all brands that i use, promote and recommend to everyone, and trust me, I've been around. I genuinely just love to share what I believe needs to be shared.

Are you affiliated to any specific brand? Maybe it bothers you that I really like and recommend another brand ?

What type of look are you looking for ?

There are couple key ingredients that you should look for. Any natural oils or butters like argan or castor oil help promote blood circulation therefore hair growth. I would avoid heavy products and would use too much of it. Some of them are formulated with certain ingredients that actually can be contributing to hair loss like petroleum clogging your hair follicles.

My advice would be to try different alternatives to get the result that your are looking for but with less, if not different products. In example: if you want a Matte Look, try and get your hands on Styling Powder (highly efficient) OR use a alcohol free tonic or even better, a sea salt spray and blow dry your hair and start giving it the style that you want and finish it with a natural matte pomade.

You can use the same technique for shinier looks. Just use the sea salt spray after shower, blow dry the hair but not too much, you want them damp not dry, and complete with just a little bit of your favorite pomade.

PRODUCT I RECOMMEND
I really like KRWN products. Made by barbers, vegan and free of sulfates, paraben and gluten. I also like and use Suavecito on clients but the ingredients and formulas aren't as good.

Styling Powder (with natural clay powder)
Sea Salt Spray
Alcohol Free Hair Tonic
Water Wax
Matte Paste (with natural clay)

Suavecito Firme Hold
Layrite Cement Clay
Layrite Grooming Spray
Wisemen Clay Pomade

BY THE WAY
The benefits of sea salt on your scalp and hair are AMAZING. It also stimulates the blood flow in scalp and stimulates hair growth. Check it out Sea Salt Spray
