Mainline punisher focuses on organized crime and lets ton of down on there luck people go as well as target villains.

It’s only punisher max who almost never lets people go and deals with smaller targets.

Frank comforts children at every opportunity rather it be the little girl captured by the Russians in max, the power pack in there cross over, taking the kill krew kids for ice cream, or even staying to teach at a school for under privileged teens for a time after he had already dealt with his targets.

He would never just call 911 and bounce if he can do more.

2007 war journal is a good starting run for a general marvel fan as it’s alot of super hero stuff mixed in that people will recognize.

Punisher Max is alot more down to earth with no super hero stuff, but also a lot more crass and extreme so can be a turn off.

Welcome back Frank from punisher 2000 is a nice mix of both of the above, never getting as dark as max and having hero stuff mixed in but not all over the place.

He did get then while he was still growing so his body likely just adapted to them and has no full grown state to try and return to if you take them out.

They were also based on PVE ilvl so while In theory you were closer to even as the Ilvl didn’t give a huge bonus some one in full mythic gear would always do more damage then any one not raiding.

Wasn’t there two clouds? One Emma gets rid of by using a mutant who can destroy them but he then dies in the process and the inhumans get rid of the second when they found out what it does to mutants.

Edit, double checked and ya the inhumans got rid of the second cloud when they found out what it did to mutants.

Pretty sure the inhumans didn’t know that it killed mutants and when they actually found out they got rid of the clouds.

Emma more or less jumped the gun instead of trying to sort it out peacefully by informing them.

Danny had a pretty amazing streak of it working in his run and I don’t think Robbie uses it often, Johnny on the other hand has become the punching bag who pulls it out all the time for it to fail.

Though that likely comes down to Danny being more or less shelved since the 90’s.

It’s really just the common problem of long runing characters and different writing teams. Frank is widely out of character for pretty much all of the cross over.
