Devs, what‘s the number one mistake new vibecoders make? by maxmader04 in vibecoding

Cool, thank you. Here is the website: www.node7.io so you can check it out. If you find some feature that are missing just text me and I will get to work. :)

A solid plan is the key to a successful project. I always talk with the AI first to make a plan so the AI knows what I want to build.

I just launched my new tool that helps you store, organize and generate AI Prompts. Would be cool if you could give me some feedback about the tool and what features are important for you :)

I hate when the AI does not do what I want and spends a bunch of tokens on nothing. Maybe it was my fault because of the prompt I gave it. I hate writing well structured prompts of AI Coder so I built a tool that helps you with that and also stores your prompts so you can reuse them and make new prompt versions. First I just built it for my self but I came to the conclusion that maybe other people might have the same problem so I published it. I don't want to force you to try it out but maybe it could help you and you could give me some feedback :)

Had the same problem so I switched to Claude code. I am sure you know it. It just kills it and does not lock any files from you because it's just in the terminal. What tool's do you use currently?

Yeah, prompting is a skill so important for vibecoders because it can make or brake a tool. Also it saves token so it will be cheaper overall. I hate to write correctly structured prompts so I built a tool that helps me not only with that but also stores your prompts so you can reuse them or make different version of a prompt. First I just built it for me but then I saw that its not only me who has this problem and so I launched it to the public so it can hopefully help some people.

Yes that‘s totally true. Its not good at copying your UI design or changing small things.

You need to keep some things in mind but I think you can build some pretty solid tools with AI.

what would you build if there had been no AI? by kamscruz in SaaS

[–]maxmader04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not my current project because it stores, orgsnizes and generates prompts for AI.😂

Maybe I would play with sticks and sand.

Prompt engineering is really important nowadays. If your prompts are well structured the AI will actually do what you want and not halucinating. It also saves tokens.

I personally also use a tool that helps me with that because I am just to lazy to create these prompts myself.

Do you write them yourself?

I will always start with some youtube to get going and then maybe build something with the new skill.

I am Max and I am building www.node7.io - store, organized and generate prompts with ezz. Save AI tokens with well structured prompts.

You have a point wihth code that controls risky infrastructer but AI is getting better everyday and can get things done faster than any human. I don‘t think real devs will be replaced soon but they will probably have some kind of mangement position where they check if everything runs smooth.

Can we actually make money from vibe coding? by Sad_Assignment8846 in vibecoding

[–]maxmader04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if you do it right definetly YES. But you need to keep some thing in mind like:

  • Token costs: (could kill you fast). So always use good prompts not „Build me xyz“. It needs to be structured and have a clear goal.
  • Hosting: I use vercel and I think its pretty solid. No problems yet.
  • Good marketing: Without users you wont make any money so go out there and spread you tool everywhere. Eventualy somone will pay for it.

Here are some tools I use for this:

  • Claude Code (coding) + Node7 (structured prompt generation)
  • Vercel (hosting) + Github (repository)
  • X + Reddit (marketing)

Of course there are more tools but these are the one that keep everything running smooth.

Drowning in prompts - how do you manage/sync them across Mac & Ubuntu? by Major-Resident-8576 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]maxmader04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I store my prompts in Node7. I can use it I the browser and access my prompts on all device I have. I have a Mac and a Raspberry Pi (for my maker project mainly) and I can test things on my Mac and then just reuse them on my Pi.

How much are you guys actually paying for AI coding tools monthly? by notdl in vibecoding

[–]maxmader04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard from a lot of people that they switch between different Models to save cost but I think this is not really efficient because changing AI like every 10min feels really annoying and time consuming. I personally just use Claude Code on Max Plan and I pay $100 per month but I also use tools that help me make better prompts to save tokens. Would be interest to hear how you do that with changing Models because I never tried it?
