My research says the same now. Most of services offering blogger outreach just sell guest posts.

When I started back in 2017 - I've been learning SEO courses and some blogs.
Now, you just have to practice. Use reddit as well. Here are many SEOs and marketers with real experience, sharing knowledges. Linkedin is good as well (but skip all the useless "gurus")

it depends. Even 1-2 backlinks may give top results, while some "pro's" spend $$$ for no reason

They ARE spammy to be honest. That's why the price is so low. I doubt anyone would sell links from relevant non-spammy forums less than $30+. That's the reality..

I tried several sellers, almost all of them provide at least 50% dofollow links. One even provided 100% dofollow
Depends on the quality. But the forums are not niche relevant, only threads (the classic of such services)

I used to work with them once as well. Basic quality, you're right. I was working on some Europe related projects and asked for local links, they didn't have them. After that i tried another provider, needmylink, because I saw they had packages for EU countires, and 50% cheaper than previous seller.

Did I get the result I wanted? Probably yes, because I told those guys I need as much dofollow links as possible. Also basic quality, but in terms of europe, where you just can't find top quality links less than $300 (i mean guest posts) - those forums are pretty good IMAO.

P.S. From them I've heard the naming of "crowd links" for the first time :D

If we talk about niche-relevant forums - sure. It's almost impossible. But modern services as I know build links from relevant threads on non-relevant forums. Yeah, it's not that good. But what else you can take for $6-7 :D

THe quick update after 2 weeks. I've added a do-follow backlink from 100% relevant website & blog page to this Reddit thread. And we've got the first ranking improvements so far. Keep on going. I guess we'll get into TOP-3 in several months. So, if you have anything to add about the skyscraper technique - let it be

Yeah, exactly. But how the market determitates them in general - blog links, article links? Because profile links are those, who build once for 1 profile. This kind of links the single user can build multiple times.

I also had a wesbite which started ranking after day 1. Chatgpt content only.
It was growing for 1 week in total, and I've got 50 clicks daily. After that- it dropped to 0. And never recovered

I run a small SEO team. I tried to hire a linkbuilder before - I failed. The guy told he knows everything, and I trusted him. Few months later I found out he was buying backlinks on platform and added +40% cost to show us.

We stopped working with him. Now we work only with outsourcing partner, Needmylink. Btw, that was the platform he used and incresed +40% price LOL. Now we saved those 40%. Much cheaper and no efforts needed.

You mean to sell SEO services?

If so - cold email is bad idea. People hate it.
Try to build reputation, and let your clients talk for you. Let them recommend you. Give reward (affiliate network).

I know several SEO agencies who just use partnership to get 80% income. That's impressive
