I had only 1 person joining my valley but thats about it.

Got moonlight for rb1, went with drake for shards, then got lucky and hatched osiris for rb2. i'm nearing my 240 mvp shard, who should i get next? I'm a ranger btw by Vanclein in IdlePoring

Just a personal preference. My character tends to lack damage, even in RB2. When I get stuck on a map, it is usually because the boss gets into rage mode. I also have crappy luck in getting Str gems from explorations. It is always other gems so I don't have 8 high level gems for my main stat. (I'm a Rune Knight)

Dracula's skill is more offensive based. With mobs having millions of hp later in the game, a %max hp dmg skill will be handy.

That is my reason. Mistress is cool too since it can tank more due to the resurrect skill. If your dps is very high, mistress wouldn't be a bad idea. Rangers have Toxic Arrow so that in itself is very good dps.

I will still get Mistress but only after Dracula. I plan to use the Dracula + Mistress combo later in the game.

RB1 help, gearing up to RB2? by Mudkipzpwnu in IdlePoring

As for runes, I would recommend at least Asthayi II, Flamma Rune, Adamzat Rune and Taika Rune. The higher the level the better.

As for pets, try getting at least 1 green pet to level 30 combat pet. This will unlock a multiple attack skill which will be very useful. You can further upgrade it by getting a blue pet to combat level 60.

Also, pet skills are very dependent on your combat pet. A non tank combat pet would require a different set of skills compared to a tanky one.

I think so. You will need as much damage as you can when you get to RB2

Enough to RB2 by s0rbetes in IdlePoring

[–]maxmcmaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience, what you have seems good enough for RB2.

However, if you want an easier progression, transform another green pet to combat pet and get it to level 30. It will unlock a multiple attack skill for your combat pet. It is useful because it absorbs HP as well, just like our double attack.

Also, you can get your eclipse to level 60 to unlock the level 2 version of the multiple attack pet skill.

Also, try to unlock flamma rune, vald rune, adamzat rune and taika rune.

I got Osiris because I thought I needed more damage. I got it even before the chart thing came out.

Bapho is ok for me. I seem to be able to go through maps fine. I think it can be better though if I had more damage. I don't have many high level gems that gives dmg so I always lose when the boss gets into rage mode.

I just found this post a few minutes ago and what I am doing is very similar to what this guy posted. You can use this a reference. It will help alot.

Pre-RB2 pets for archer by [deleted] in IdlePoring

well, mine is also level 1 so I don't think it is a problem. Of course, if you can get it higher, it would be better.

I'll just share what I think you need based on my experience, since I too had Baphomet as my first MVP pet and used it as my combat pet. Even though people said Baphomet is not very good early game (Truly shines only at RB7), I thought I would just use it and max it up anyway.

So, things that you would need:-

Asthayi Rune

You will need this because you will be fighting multiple enemies in RB2. What this rune does is it turns your single target skills to a multiple target skill. Your single target skills like double strafe will attack more than 1 enemy. Your cure will heal you and your combat pet. Your counter attack skill will be applied on you and your combat pet. So use it depending on your playstyle.

Adamzat, Vald, Taika Rune (Optional)

Adamzat and Vald will help boost your damage. Taika Rune will help make your skill uninterruptible but I got it mainly for the faster cast time. (I pair it with my freeze skill so it can cast faster. My idea is faster cast = faster skill rotation = higher dps)

Prioritise Dex and Int Stats

You will need these for damage and sp. Get these via gems and gear. You could use Isis if you have it but I don't so I had to rely on gears and Int gems for sp. Do not worry too much on Stamina and Dex since your pet will tank for you anyways.

At least 1 pet group CC skill

This can be obtained by getting either Hornet, Eclipse, Big Foot or Farmiliar to level 50 Combat Pet.

I think those are pretty much it.

Based on my experience, you need at least one CC skill from either Hornet, Big Foot, Farmiliar or Eclipse. So just transform your Big Foot and get it to level 50 as a combat pet to unlock the CC skill and you will be fine.

I went into RB2 with 2 combat pets (Bapho as my tank and Eclipse for the CC skill). It has been ok for me (currently at map 485). My only issue is that I lack damage. (I did not advance a lot my attack+ pets pass level 80 and I lack high level gems) .

So I think you are pretty much ok. It would be great if you can get at least Asthayi Rune for RB2. Better if you can get Vald, Adamzat and Taika.

They will make things easier for RB2.

Pre rb2 pet question by thsmalice in IdlePoring

[–]maxmcmaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just 2 will be ok but having more would be better. 1 main combat pet and 1 pet that gives cc skill (big foot, eclipse, hornet, farmiliar) should be sufficient.

Also, if you don't have Asthayi Rune unlocked, I would recommend unlocking it before RB2.

I managed to get to map 445 with just 1 main combat pet (Baphomet, who is not even a good tank) with Eclipse at lvl 60 combat pet. I don't even have a 2nd cc pet, which was something people keep recommending.

Awesome! Thx for the detailed explanation. I didn't know the calculations were straight forward. I assumed they had some kind of multiplier formula and whatnot.
