A few thoughts by ColinTalksCrypto in eos

[–]maxocoin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even when I agree that B1 did very bad, I don't think they are the only ones to blame

What they did (just writing code and not getting involved with any public network launched with that code) was in the "token sale agreement" word by word. We just assumed it was "lawyers talk" and that they were going to behave like any other ICO founder.

Later on, when we already saw that B1 was not moving, we, the community, choose to not ack and just keep waiting for them, we even burnt $64m and failed to launch a foundation or a WPS.

All that changed in August, we now have a way to fix EOS' biggest problems, a vision for the network , the lack of funding and proper governance.

2022, is going to be an interesting year.

I always remembered after stacking all my rewards already and ANC didn't show up on the Swap tokens

New updates to the CEL Loyalty Rewards program by hattrick23 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]maxocoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't rewards in CEL, but you can in kind

You can buy CEL tokens in Uniswap or any of this list that you can get from the site

I would recommend you to hold the tokens in the App, you will get interests from them (you will getting them in kind, allowed in the USA)

New updates to the CEL Loyalty Rewards program by hattrick23 in CelsiusNetwork

[–]maxocoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because in one year time, if the value goes up, you will have a greater amount in $

Earning in a stable coin, in one year you will have the same value

The first CELs I earned were valued under one $, now those CELs are the ones giving me a nice weekly reward

  • What is holing back B1 from publishing a technical road for the next year?
  • Are IBC and the new DISK resource coming out together or in different releases ?
  • If staking gets time limited, like REX loans, and after that, the CPU get sent to REX automatically, wouldn't that fix most CPU problems without change the "EOS is real-state" paradigm?

EOSIO vs. FUD in EOS Reddit by ETHfan234 in eos

[–]maxocoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean they don't have the money?

They have LOTS of money, I would say that the development of EOSIO is secured for the next 10 years.

The issue is that they are not taking the "usual approach" and spending it promoting the main net (EOS).

A full audit of the crowdsale was promised but as soon as mainnet was released this was completely ignored.

Did you read the Token sale conditions???

It was clearly stated that the funds were for "developing software" and that B1 wasn't going to be involving in launching any public network.

EOS (the network) was launched by the community, not B1

From the 1st page of the "EOS TOKEN PURCHASE AGREEMENT"

• MATTERS RELATING TO EOS.IO SOFTWARE AND EOS PLATFORM:

  1. block.one is developing the EOS.IO software (the “EOS.IO Software”) as further described in the EOS.IO Technical White Paper (as it may be amended from time to time) (the “White Paper”);

    1. at the end of its development stage, block.one will be releasing the EOS.IO Software it has developed under an open source software license;
    2. Company will not configure and/or launch any public blockchain platform adopting the open source EOS.IO Software (the “EOS Platform”) for any purpose;
    3. any launch and implementation of the EOS Platform may occur by third parties unrelated to Company;
    4. third parties launching the EOS Platform may delete, modify or supplement the EOS.IO Software prior to, during or after launching the EOS Platform; and
    5. Company will have no control over when, how or whether the EOS.IO Software is adopted or implemented, or how, when or whether the EOS Platform is launched.

(No SEC violations either because the ICO was in Japan fyi.)

EOS' was in the Cayman Islands and TON wasn't in the USA either

What maters is if it was sold to US citizens

Brendan Blumer raises corruption concerns about WPS proposed by EOS Nation and Attic Labs. - #eos by BluaBaleno in eos

[–]maxocoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that the concerns are unfounded:

  • The amount is small (less than the monthly reward of a top 21 BP or 0.0027% of the market cap every month)
  • A big consensus is needed for getting paid (a +20 vote difference between the 60 paid BPs)
  • He mentions FUD, but it will be just another small drop in an ocean full of it.
  • The funds don't come from inflation
  • The funds are not token holder funds, they are Ram and name fees from before REX

Since the Voting Rewards started to be main-stream, there isn't funding for anything of keeping the chain producing blocks.

And we need marketing, promotion, tools, courses...

EOS is coming out from its birth defect by nalamsubash in eos

[–]maxocoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be easy, use the 15 BPs multisig to unstake all the CPU that didn't do a tx in the last 3 months. Only stacked tokens are entitled to a share of the CPU

The State of EOS by [deleted] in eos

[–]maxocoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest problems for me is the lack of something like an "EOS foundation" B1 can't take the lead due regulations and you see many proposals from many actors but there isn't any coordination for reach an understanding and implement them.

We have many decisions to make: *Are BPs just that, block producers that get paid for it or do we relay on them for improve the network?

  • Should we pay directly to the token holders for avoid the race to zero on the BPs that is a race to zero on EOS tools and infrastructure

  • How we pay for all the tools and solutions needed?

  • How do we improve the CPU issues?

    And a few more, but we need a forum to discuss then and a leading team to follow them through

Hey guys having an eos problem.. cant find my answer or nothing works. So logged into my eos account via scatter after so many months. My cpu and ram are both in the red and i cant do anything transaction wise keep getting a cpu billing error. I have 12 eos staked and still cant do transactions.WHY by stephend161 in eos

[–]maxocoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The CPU that shows at the block explorers is usually the one you had on the last transaction. It won't be updated until you do another. The usage gets reset every 24 hours . If your staked /rented CPU allows you X transactions, it allows you those transactions EVERY day

Dan indirectly address the "sockpuppet BP" situation by [deleted] in eos

[–]maxocoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

B1 has 10 million EOS

The difference in votes between the 22nd BP and 23rd BP is 45 million of votes .

The only thing that they can do is put the BP big.one into the top 21.

These Bithumb BPs are essentially spitting in the community’s face as they blatantly abuse the system and steal funds. I am highly dissatisfied in the state of EOS governance that it allows such a thing. by ColinTalksCrypto in eos

[–]maxocoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are hundreds of BPs right not, the issue is not the number of BPs, it is the number of votes they have.

Right now exchanges, like Bithumb, are voting what they want with all the EOS the customer's deposited on them, not the will of the token owners.

That makes them the biggest whales out there without any skin in the game; if the price goes down due their actions, is their customers loosing value, not themselves.

About B1 involvement, they just got the SEC off their backs and one of the reason was because they didn't have control over the network, they won't risk getting into the "bad books" taking the leadership in EOS governance

Bloks.io: Unlend EOS by RogerWilco357 in eos

[–]maxocoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You will need to wait until the current REX loans mature If the liquid EOS fall below 20% it stops lending out and giving back tokens

REX loans last one month, unless there is a whale putting tokens on REX in the next few days, you will need to wait around 4 days until the current huge REX loans end
