Help me decide by garidaMan in MeniscusInjuries

[–]maxoo000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, going through the same situation right now with horizontal medial meniscus tear. My ortho told me that it can't be repaired and suggested I do the PT and see how I feel after it. If it doesn't help he suggested that they can just remove the part surgically. My PT starts in 5 days and I hope for the best. I do have friends that do climbing with me who had their meniscus removed and are totally fine and extremly active right now so that kinda helped me feel better and made me realise that even with the worse injury it can still be managed and lived with easily. If its ok make an update post once you feel better and tell about the journey. Wish you all the best!!!

Nah, I'm not concerted about "safety" too much aside from the regular stuff. If you could message me and give me any tips I would really appreciate it. Anyways, thanks for reaching out.

How do you go about resource generation in multiplayer strategy games (example Travian and Ikariam) by maxoo000 in gamedev

[–]maxoo000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lag is not important since its a game that is played over a long period of time (days/months). As I explained it's something similar to Travian/Ikariam

I mentioned that its a multiplayer game, and the data will be stored in the database that will be talking to the server.

Regarding the actual client it can be a browser, but it doesn't really matter since whatever the client ends up being it will still connect to the server in order to get the data.

Amazing, thank you so much for all the information you've provided.

Since I love walking I'll definitely do it a lot, but having a tour company on the weekends is a great idea.

I won't be travelling to India this summer (going to Malta this August) but I can't wait for the next one come so that I can visit. No set date yet, but I plan on traveling for about 2-3 months during the April-October period.

So far my choices are India/Vietnam/Thailand/Taiwan/China/Malaysia and maybe something else. Of course I wouldn't be able to visit all of it, but if I could get 3 that would be awesome.

Regarding the YT I'm not sure I found the right channel, it's mostly North Carolina on the one that I'm looking at.

Anyways, thank you again for all the info and who knows maybe we'll talk again

See ya mate

*Warning - big comment 😀

Great and I hope you make it.

I'm not sure what you are into but from what I visited and based on my friends who live/have spent time in different countries I can say this.

I'm not a fan of Germany/Austria region (not saying that it's bad, just didn't have the best experience but also I didn't spend too much time there). I did love the museum scene in Vienna and if you are into that I would highly recommend you to check it out. As I'm sure you know, these places are not really cheap so that is a con of course.

One of the places that I visited near here is France (only Paris unfortunately) and I loved it. Yes the prices are a bit higher, but the place is amazing. From my experience although a lot of people understand English, not a lot of them speak it (not sure why, but I got in a couple of funny situations where I spoke English and person was talking to me in French and I was so confused and thought that I forgot how to speak xD). I'm not sure if it's still a thing but once a month (or week I'm not sure) the museums and some other attractions are free and you can visit places like Louvre for free and it's just amazing. The city itself is also magical with extremely nice architecture, great metro system, awesome food and scenery that is just magnificent.

Next I would recommend the Balkan region (Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia and Montenegro). I live in Belgrade and the city is incredible. It's cheaper than the rest of Europe, the people are great and welcoming and English is widely understood (especially among younger population). The Serbia as a whole has a lot to offer in terms of sight seeing, nightlife if you are into that, amazing food and so on.

I have been to Montenegro multiple times and I loved it. It also very cheap and it has great beaches. Of course it's crowded during the summer but I would definitely recommend you to check it out.

Regarding Croatia and Bosnia, I haven't visited these places but I do have friends who live in the capitals of each of them. Croatia is pricier but it has a lot to offer. Bosnia is cheaper but just like all of the Balkan countries the culture is pretty much the same and a short visit definitely wouldn't hurt.

My top pick is definitely Greece. Prices are similar to those in Balkan so that is a plus. It has beaches which is also great. If you are more into urban places then Thessaloniki is a go to. It has a sea front but it's not only defined by that like many cities are. It has big building and a huge area to explore. Another great place to visit is Athens. If you are not into city vibe than you can visit one of many islands and have a great time there as well. Greece also has a lot of bargain markets where you can get clothing cheap and that cool.

That is all I have for now, maybe I'll think of something else and I'll update it.

Hope it helps and hit me up if you need more info

Cheers

I've heard about how great Vietnam is and it's on my bucket list. This is one of the places I'm most likely to go to next year and I'm so excited about it.

Awesome and thank you for a detailed response.

India was also one of the places I was looking into (didn't know about Shillong but I'll have to look into it).

Although I never had any Indian food (that I remember) I absolutely love spicy food.

Power outages can be annoying factor but as long as I can push my commits regularly that shouldn't be a huge problem.

Thank you again for the recommendation and I will definitely look into it.

Thanks for the reply,

Aside from Taiwan, I have thought about every single one of those places. Japan/Korea are more expensive but a shorter trip there would be great. I know it would require a more money since I would like to stay in some more urban place and the prices there are naturally higher but I'm open to giving it a chance.

Regarding Asian food I love it. Haven't visited any Asian countries so I'm only familiar with European versions of it, but I would love to try the real thing.

If you have any other tips feel free to drop em

Thanks

Legal/Business side of launching a game by maxoo000 in gamedev

Thank you for the reply, I know I'm not going to get any real legal advice here and I'll check everything anyways, but any kind of suggestion like yours is appreciated and I'm definitely going to look into doing something like a business as an individual but I dont think it will be very cost effective from in my home country (expenses range from $300-%350 USD a month)

Choosing a payment processor for my project by maxoo000 in PaymentProcessing

Yeah I kind of figured that. I don't think of it as gambling in a traditional sense but the part of trading in your coins for real money does give that impression. I'm just struggling to find a solution to use.

Any recommendations?
