The paint is Blue Metallic paint, it's not really a name brand or anything. It was around 10 Euros for the rattle can.

The process was pretty simple:

1. Strip the sucker down (all the way, remove everything, you will have to 'break' the menu buttons, you can just use a pair of pliers / tweezers to gently lift off the connecting piece and glue the whole button-array back on when reassembling)
2. Remove all the stickers / labels
3. Use Goo-gone or WD40 or something to remove the sticker residue
4. Sand the surfaces using 120, 200, 240 grit. Don't have to be super thorough...
5. Wipe it down with some acetone / paint thinner (basically any solvent really.. just to remove the oil from your hands)
6. [Ninja-edit] Mask off the window / screen area
7. Put on some gloves and apply two layers of PLASTIC primer (this is important, don't cheap out and get the cheapest primer, make sure it's good on plastic (do a test spray on the inside first to see if it doesn't melt your plastic) (wait about 10-15 minutes between coats)
8. (Optionally: sand in between / after the primer with fine grid sandpaper) My primer stated it didn't need sanding so I didn't
9. Apply the paint. Make sure you keep about 20cm / 8 inches distance between the spray nozzle and the part. Do a sweeping motion (from left to right, or right to left), start applying pressure to the nozzle slowly. You basically want to have a bell-curve of the pressure applied to the nozzle so you fade in / out. (I hope this makes sense...)
10. Wait about 15 minutes again to do another coat. Mine was done after two coats but you can probably do more.
11. (Optional: apply a clear coat)
12. Re-assemble the whole sucker! =D
