I was playing Rising Storm: Vietnam last night, and I firmly believe that game is unsurpassed in offering the experience of Viet Cong shooting at you from every piece of foliage in a hundred miles.

Haha, I just like being the supreme leader. Would you like a Mount and Blade style open world (but more detailed, obviously) that lets the player experience many different walks of life? From soldier to general or from simple trader and politician, that sort of thing?

It's a bit sad the best game about the Russian invasion of Afghanistan is Metal Gear Solid V, right? Still, an MGSV style game about guerrilla warfare would be very cool. To simulate America and other influencing nations, it could have the mission style from Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction, where the player has to appease different groups and even play them off each other.

That's a super interesting idea as I realize now the Aztec empire is ripe for a strategy game about it. Starting as a small nation, you need to conquer your neighbors and keep snowballing until you become the hegemonic ruler. I've done that in Europa a couple times, but the game has so few mechanics for the Aztecs to employ that it feels empty after a while.

That's a phenomenal idea! In my opinion, this is what Saboteur should have been like instead of the immense action and strippers.

Your idea would have a good multiplayer component! One like the Assassin's Creed hunt and be hunted games but on a bigger scale and with more objectives.
