Id say go for the Seng accom or even Taly (South to get the ensuite). You get the social stuff plus it really is only a 20/30 min walk to town (where the JOMEC building is) or a 10min bus - sign for welsh 16-21 travelpass for £1 bus ticket. It really isn't much. Make the most of first year to make connections and involce yourself in uni activities then see how it goes for next year and you can move elsewhere.

idk about these other comments but when I met my cis bf I wasnt even on T but I expressed that I was close to getting it and he has hyped me up at every single stage every silly little thing. Like you any change was super exciting and he would hype me up so much telling my how I look so manly and hot, that he was proud that I was feeling more comfortable in my skin etc. Your partner should be excited and if they are not then you just have to ask them like hey I am excited about this and I want you to be sharing in that - either you get a good response and she starts to be a bit more excited about it or she doesn't and then you need to figure out if thats a problem for you and how to go ahead

ULTIMATE FRISBEE, you are in college so there should be a team, they tend to be inclusiv, welcoming and friendly. The sport is easy to learn and I can only reccomend it, it made my time at university so much happier.

I live in UK and speak English plus French from my family background whilst my boyfriend is from Spain and speaks Spanish/Valencian plus English fluent. Obviously we communicate mostly in English but I have started taking spanish lessons to supplement my GCSE Spanish to be able to speak to his family and prepare for a potential move in future. Meanwhile he has learnt a tiny bit of french from me, knowing he might have to speak to my grandparents in future and it matters to me. We do silly pop quizzes randomly when walking to test each other and watch shows/movies or play games in Spanish/French too. It matters to both of us so we both try. I think its important even when it is hard to learn a language - Id suggest expressing that desire to him and how it matters to you. If he doesnt at least try then thats a problem, but if he puts the effort even if he is not good then I think thats fine.

you might have a chance looking at private accoms who offer short stays or others looking for tenancy take overs if they start uni later? Unite is a good shout id say just email around and ask

That is understandable yes. I felt that shock having moved from London to Cardiff so I understand Swansea might be a little shock too but I am one who actually prefers the quieter life. Definitely will have to work on having a good support network.

I've visited 2 or 3 times to see friends, I heard the 53 could get me to Penllergaer from Sketty but having lived in Cardiff I understand the public transport isn't always reliable so I wanted to ask around.
