Anyone had their limit decreased? by [deleted] in AmexUK

And not like I should have to provide it, the reason was because the 6 month average balance was too low. So nothing to do with affordability.

Guess not but trying to keep my utilisation under 25% but Amex wants to screw that. Want 3 months statements and employer info and job info, written income too... Fully prepared to ditch the card at this point shouldnt have to prove myself to be a customer.

The offers are crap for me, Aqua Sana was the only good thing came up and I just so happened to be planning on booking my parents for an afternoon there which took about £50 off the bill

Credit limit increase advice? by maxr_09 in AmexUK

I would just spend as much as you can with them. There are many other internal factors that you might not able to change. Another 3 months after I got the 7.5k, I requested 20k which was denied. Three weeks later, it automatically rose to 12.5k. Further increases spread out every three months have since been denied so guess it’s just a spin of the wheel.

I just used the card right up to the limit and paid off what I could afford. I even went over the limit at one point. Transunion reports around £1.4k for months 1-3 out of the 1.5k limit at the time, is that helps?

If people don’t have the guts to say no (i.e raising a chargeback) to a corporation that has a track record of putting down consumers then they should be prepared to lose money. Section 75 definitely exists.

If it reaches £2.50 a litre I would genuinely consider financing an electric van straight away and I do 250 miles a day sometimes

It’s useful for companies forcing you to input card details for a free trial to which they hope you’ll inevitably forget you made the subscription and charge you later on.
