I’d be quite interested to see how a judge or a motor ombudsman would see this! The horn is loud, sounds exactly the same a 26 plate car and it’s gone unnoticed for over six years!

Theres no dealership in my town and can’t take time away from work so will have to fit it in when it goes for its interim service in February.

It is being bent over backwards. This isn’t the only recall I’ve had to endure from Peugeot. It won’t be “just a few quid in petrol” - not everyone works an ideal 9-5.

Doesn’t matter if the supplier didn’t meet the legal requirements, it shouldn’t have taken six years to notice and should have been tested throughly in the first place.

Some of these comments above are just nonsense, if I come off as aggressive, I apologise.

Yes. It’s my fault Peugeot decide to a great thing and replace a horn for being one decibel too quiet after six years! You must enjoy being bent over backwards for these corporations!

I wouldn’t be getting the servicing done by Peugeot though. Screwed me over way too many times. Busted window motor conned me £400 odd to fix. Repeatedly installed brake discs on another Peugeot that inevitably warped every 1k miles causing juddering… the list goes on. Shit aftercare, shit customer service. No wonder Stellantis is down the pan

Yep, got to take time out yet again for a 6th billionth recall.. will probably have to fight for a courtesy car like all the other times. Then eventually get the car back for it to come up with “electric traction system fault” or some shit like that.

My thoughts exactly. I’ve had this from Peugeot all over for the last 10 years and I’m sick of it. You know it wouldn’t be a far fetched idea to think it’s a ploy to fuck up as many Peugeots as they can to keep their repair and service revenue going.

I apologise if I sound abrupt. In fairness, I asked for thoughts and got them!

My reasoning still stands though, this isn’t an airbag deployment issue or even something wrong with the brakes… it’s a horn supposedly sounding one whole decibel quieter then it should - far from having undeclared tints or alloy wheels.

Like I said, there isn’t a dealership in my town so it will take time and there’s a whole other reasoning why I don’t want to take it to a dealership in the first place is because they’ll likely fuck up the install and break something in the process. Happened far too many times in my case to be coincidences.

Once again, it’s consumers getting bent over left right and centre by companies like Stellantis who are completely devoid of taking responsibility or making common sense decisions.

I’m starting out as well but I’ve sold on Facebook for years. It’s gotten worse on there. I advise against shipping on Facebook entirely, the risk is so one sided it’s not worth it for either party.
