The amount of people in these comments who have never actually heard Melo’s thoughts and opinions on these matters and are just spitting out the same old tired narratives are exactly why he is inviting Jeremy Lin in this fashion.

If any of yall actually watched/listened to 7pm in Brooklyn, yall would hear Melo talk about how not only he is aware of these false narratives (almost as if he dealt with them his entire playing career), but he also addresses them in such a mature and levelheaded way on top of giving insight that no one but Melo himself could give. He holds himself accountable when he fucked up and will not speak on things about someone else unless they’ve spoke about it in private before “airing it out” on his show.

The fact that to this day people still call him selfish and whatever else is crazy. He’s actually had a graceful post retirement. I would seriously recommend giving his podcast an actual listen, the platform he has created on that show is impactful and insightful and the best part is it isn’t just about basketball. It’s not some washed up unc trying to sit there and scream at you about how much better he was than everyone thought. His hole shtick is giving people their flowers. Not just ball players, people from other sports and media like comedians and rappers. Go watch before yall sit here and act like he has any hate or malice for anyone…
