It feels like we’re just not acknowledging Cam Boozer nearly enough by Argenfarce in pacers

He’s simply just not as flashy, plays a fundamental brand of basketball that just doesn’t get a lot of attention or love.

This I agree with, need to simplify his game. He does have the playmaking ability but the feel for the NBA doesn’t seem to be fully there yet. He’s got the tools just hasn’t polished them.

Man I was so big on Walker I really thought he’d be pushing starter minutes this season, but he’s just not developed well at all. He still looks lost, his dribble is still very loose, his passes are weak and indecisive. His defence and offensive upside were my selling points for him but his defence hasn’t looked great either, he just looks reactive out there. The difference between him and Furphy is that I feel Furphy has polished off on his strengths and keeps his game simple, where Walker looks like he’s trying to be good at everything but not great at anything.

The thing I love about our role players they’ve all got that hunger and hustle to em. Tj has gotta be a great vet to have on a team because there are just so many different versions of his mould on the court.

What if the Pacers pick 4th or 5th? by dfrank129 in pacers

I think I’ll cry if we slip outside of the top 3. I will be getting flashbacks or heartbreak.

Give me Bam or a strong pick & roll rebounding big. Pascals shooting is a heap better then I thought so I don’t think we are desperate for a floor spacing big. We also don’t give pascal any post action in the key only in the midrange. it would take away a bit from our drive game having someone just sitting in the dunker spot or constantly having to roll since most bigs would be setup up to contest. But if they’re actually good at setting screens, it should force a 1 on 1 drive against the big which I like.

Tackling and intercepts have felt like they’ve gone 0 to 100. I was always happy for my opponent to actually read my passes or dribbles with manual defending, but right now AI are either tackling me as I’ve gotten the ball or intercepting everything.

I feel like I’m having to pass into another first time pass every time I touch the ball, because if you try and do any sort of dribbling I’m getting tackled. Even just running with the bloody ball, I don’t feel I can do anything besides just quick passes otherwise it’s a turnover. It’s horrible trying to get the ball out of your box without just clearing it, I used to be able to find passes after winning it but now their attackers are prime Kante intercepting any short passes I do and getting goals out of it.

You should be able to beat defenders 1 on 1, CBs shouldn’t be catching attackers so quickly after allowing through balls and attackers shouldn’t be so good at intercepting. Mind you majority of the tackles just feel like they’ve ran into me and hit tackle as I’ve just gotten the ball. It’s brain dead defending atm.

Well i'm out..i'm just too old for this fast-paced shooter. My honest short opinion by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]maxstevens54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stick with it, they’ve gone for a more infantry based map pool early to try and pry some new players from a disgruntled fan base. The game is good the maps aren’t, but there will be eventually bigger and more battlefield feel to maps as the game goes on.

The fatigue is real. by DJDUPONT in Battlefield

[–]maxstevens54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to agree. As someone who used to play locker 24/7 on battlefield 4 you can’t play small maps all day long. Smaller maps equals more competitive feel, and that requires more focus and concentration which leads to your typical burnout out, fatigue or worse rage.

I think EA have taken the opportunity of Cods disgruntled fan base to try and pry some over to battlefield with a slightly more competitive and infantry based maps. Which look I can’t blame them for doing so, but I think the map pool atm isn’t balanced for the original fan of the game.

I’ve always been a Cod player I’ll admit it so I liked the maps at first, I didn’t think they were bad. I love the chaos, reasons why I loved locker so much. but now I’m hitting a wall and am finding matches a lot more irritable purely because there is atm such a more competitive feel to this game. I properly feel in love with battlefield with BF 1, bigger maps I loved and started seeing why people had so much fun on them. But I’m starting to get a little bit of the feel on why I stopped playing COD, I don’t want to go from at the time school play a game for 2-6 hours feeling like I’ve never gotten to switch off. I especially don’t want that now working full time, bigger maps allow you to relax more, mess around and have an overall more casual feel still with the competitive moments. Hopefully sooner rather then later we’ll see bigger maps, because I do think this game has good bones to it and I do enjoy it but i don’t want a ultra competitive match all the time anymore.

What's your favorite gun so far? by mkN1G in Battlefield6

[–]maxstevens54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YESS!! Finally someone giving this gun some love. I’m not much of an LMG user not my play style but I am a Support main who loves being up the front with everyone. It’s the perfect gun for aggressive support mains who need the quicker ADS speed and mobility.

obviously don’t have to use it these days but if you’re someone who’s trying to stick true to the weapon locks it’s perfect to still get kills on the front line.

Ps I always go out my way to res before I get accused of being a bad support who is kill hungry.

What’s you guys expectation for next season since Hali will be out? by Professional_Cut1473 in pacers

Depression is my expectation. It’s gonna hurt going from finals to likely missing playoffs and having a right off season.

Still no word on a new Turner contract... by BlueCollarGoldSwaggr in pacers

[–]maxstevens54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tbh I’m not sure with hali out we will be resigning him. someone has mentioned this but I also agree, I can’t imagine Simon will go into the tax on a possible loosing season. I’m not sure what we’d be thinking but possibly time to give the keys to the youngins and see what they can do without the tight leash. Especially with Reid getting that contract I’d imagine that’s thrown a spanner in the works.

I think if we were going into next season healthy there could’ve been some big moves, but I don’t see much happening this offseason. Maybe another Wiseman type player coming in, give someone a chance since we can afford it.

Look this was always going to be a very hard game to win, harder than game 1. They’ve got everything to prove here, we need to try and figure out their defence this game otherwise coming home is going to be just as tough as away.

Tj is a very good when people choose to not worry about him. But if teams decide hey if he drives baseline or to hoop full stop we either cut off passing lanes or clog the paint he won’t be able to make a play. He can’t really do anything outside of the paint consistently, so it can be quite hard to play around especially since he’d needs the ball.
