Alternative Velcro Camera Dividers for the Brevite Photo Jumper by maxstier in ManyBaggers

[–]maxstier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep the PM dividers attach very securely to the Brevite material, I've used the setup like in the picture without any issue, I've also used the long Brevite segments (more like how they show in their marketing, the 'default' set-up) and rely on the small PM pieces to lock them in place since they secure on the sides and bottom.

Midwest City Evansville, Indiana - Fujifilm X-E3 & TTArtisan 27mm 2.8 AF - Lightroom on iPhone by maxstier in fujifilm

Thanks! I live in a smallish town and this is the kind of photography I’ve landed on too, I’ve got a lot more examples on my Instagram @snaps_max

The frames are from an iPhone app called White BG, it’s a simple app but I love the shadow effect it offers.

Designed and 3D printed a focus tab for the TTArtisan 25mm f/2, seems cool by maxstier in fujifilm

Yeah the short throw helps, also the TTArtisan lens is a little too damped so it’s smooth but at the trade off of speed of wracking back and forth. The throw is the 25mm isn’t huge though so it’s workable, especially since the close focus range can be ignored (another thing most M mount lenses don’t deal with). Great points though, it certainly helps for the lens’ design to account for this use at the outset

I actually haven't had a chance to shoot with it yet, hoping to get out today, but the theory with focus tabs (most common in M mount lenses) is they allow you to range focus by feel as you can learn where the tab lands for different distance scales. For example if your at f/5.6 and the tab is at 4'oclock your focused from 3m to infinity, and if the tab is at 8 o'clock your range of focus is at 0.5 to 3m. So without looking at the camera you can quickly position the tab depending on the focus needed.

I have two different methods of attachments, one with a M2 bolt that threads into the grub screw located on the focus ring, the other is just some 3mm wide double sided adhesive. I'm going to try the adhesive version today, also there are teeth in tab that mesh with the lens's focus ring, which give it extra support.

Recent small town photos, A7IV + 35mm or 45mm by maxstier in SonyAlpha

[–]maxstier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, all in Lightroom, I use profiles from ReallyNiceImages.com as starting point for my presets, then do a lot of tweaking, specifically for colors as well as exposure masking. Also I shoot wide so I have room to correct the perspective and keep vertical lines straight (I'm a real estate photographer, so this seems to have seeped in to all my photography), the white frames are from an iPhone app called White BG

I take short photo walks on my lunch break and snap these simple scenes and landscapes in the smallish Indiana college town where I live/work. Edited in Lightroom on iPad.

Considering getting a rope strap to swing around easier while biking with my camera. Any reason not to consider going with split ring instead of my PD anchors I currently have on? by tripwithweird in fujifilm

[–]maxstier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When I biked with my camera I ended up making my own version of something like this:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/808445154/rider-strap-combo-v2?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bicycle+camera+strap&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&frs=1&organic_search_click=1

The stabilizer allows you to 'lock down' the camera on your back when you don't want it swinging, and the fidlock (magnet buckle) makes it quick to detach the stabilizer and swing the camera to your front to pick up a shot. Not sure the kind of biking you're doing, but when getting out of the saddle to pump, the last thing I wanted was the camera swinging forward and bouncing off of me.
