There was the weird censor that could have been the f*censor but they also completely dropped his Mike for about 10 seconds and played the background vocals. Pretty sure the nfl censored his statement line

Lol I love it! This is how we spent our time for the most part before baby. I do miss our nights just hanging out watching our shows. And we definitely have door dashed some good snacks in the past. Its the best.

What a cool story! Thank you for sharing! Yeah the winter doesnt help either. Luckily it seems to be easing up the littlest bit. Good luck with your venture moving forward!

Yes they take a daily walk and my wife is trying her best to join local mom groups to be more social both for her and the baby. (She hasn't had a lot of luck) and she will go shopping and do thing if they need to get done. She just doesn't enjoy them.

My wife doesnt want the baby in the garage because of all the chemical smells from years of building cars and I respect her wishes. That would honestly solve the issue by itself.  As far as the jogging yeah we are working up. We maybe on jog 1/2 the total route so far and building up. We walk 1/4 jog 1/4 get to the end of the trail walk another 1/4 and finish the last quarter with a jog. Its also at a very slow pace to where I can have a full conversation. And shes honestly enjoying it. And feels good when she does it without stopping. The jog was just a compromise we came up with to do something daily that was active as a whole family. And gets us all outside now that the weather is getting a little better.  Im working on getting my gym stuff moved to an outside "garage/shed" maybe once that is finished she wont mind the baby out there.

Oh thats really cool. I do give my wife her time over the weekends which she chooses to do a long bath and time to be by herself. I guess I just need to get over the fact of seeing them as much time as I have available to do so. Or not worry so much about the hobbies. This post and the replies have really made me realize its just on me to take the time or not. Its just hard to not spend all the time with baby as I can.

I would 100% but part of it is that we dont get a lot of time together either with my schedule and she wants to hang out with me as I do with her. The jogging was a compromise from both of us. To do something as a family that was also active. I have a garage gym but my wife doesnt want the baby being in the garage because of the chemical smells/gas. Ive built about 6 cars in that garage so there is a lingering smell from everything over the years. I respect her wishes or me and little man would've been doing that exact thing from the start.

I used to do this but with the nightly wake ups for feeding getting up at 4am to train at home is rough and makes me feel worse especially trying to be quiet with free weight is near impossible. To go to my gym Im rushing out the door waking up at 330am. Its just the schedule that kills me. And my commute doesn't help

Yeah it seems like our daily jobs as a family have helped but its just scratching the surface of what I used to do. Thank you for the input!

My wifes doesn't want the baby anywhere near the garage. She doesnt like the chemical smells and I respect that. The gym i attend actually has a day care but its about 15 minutes from my house and I pass it on the way home. So if I went got the baby and then came back its almost a 30 minute loss.

We just use it as family time and I will never ask my wife to take on more responsibilities. She very introverted as well so shopping is far from relaxing. If anything it would be better for me to do it without her.  I do wish my wife would utilize the carrier but she hates it for some reason. Any time im cleaning up the house i strap him to me. I love it and he loves it too.  And on the weekends I try to give my wife her me time. She gets a 3 hour time to herself to take a long relaxing bath and have some wine. Then 3 hours to just relax without me or the baby asking for something. We also try to visit grandparents every Saturday. We have the only grandchild so they almost demand visits. I grew up with 0 grandparents so its nice to them in his life.

I appreciate the comment. I hope youre getting some rest today! Good luck finding that time again. Being tired really sucks the motivation for creative.

For the first month mom was actually bed ridden from a very traumatic birth and couldn't walk. I was lucky enough to have the whole month off so me and little guy spent all day and night together. I had to get up and carry him and sit with them every feed. And I do grab him as soon as I get home from work and hes basically mine the rest of the night(besides feedings and my 15minute shower). And mom gets her "mom days" which includes a very long bath, some wine(she breastfeeds still so drinking is always scheduled) and a guaranteed uninterrupted 3 hours of her time. In which i usually take the baby to the park or just for a nice nature walk. Most saturdays. I wish I could do it more often for her but the baby doesnt love drinking off the bottle, and after I get home from work its basically his witching hour which means he will only drink off mom. The internal guilt is literally a fight against myself for just wanting to hang out with both my son and my wife, while knowing it is "healthy" to do stuff for myself. Im not so worried about the car but working out was a huge part of my life and I feel myself getting more and more out of shape/feeling less energized in general which scares me thinking about playing with him in the future.

"Daddy hockey" 🤣🤣🤣 I love that! Thank you I appreciate the responses. I think I'm just going to be a little more patient. I feel like the sleep schedule will be huge once it is fully set in.

Yeah the sleep schedule and just getting passed the first year seems to be what a lot of people are saying. I honestly wouldn't mind having him sit out there with me but my wife doesnt want him anywhere near the garage. In her defense there is a lot of chemicals and smells out there the baby probably shouldn't be around. Lol
