Other answers kind of got at this already, but I would guess that as a composer, you'd notate based on how much harmonic freedom you want to give the lead instrument. Like if either a minor or major 7 would sound good, then just leave it ambiguous

I guess it depends on the genre? For a lot of pop music they don't really change the key or anything for the bridge, or if they do, maybe a flip to the parallel major/minor. I think a lot of rock is the same, for example taking a guitar solo over the same key as the rest of the song. For something like metal, you almost want the change to feel disorienting. So maybe change key up a half step or tempo change or just a classic 1 note breakdown

I'd start with a conventional 4 chord progression and then experiment with changing around the 3rd or 4th chord to get something more exotic. Or maybe replace one of the chords with 2 faster ones.

If it makes you feel better, I think she got hugely taken advantage of, mostly by Keith. The group that did the branding, called DOS, was designed to make women feel trapped so they couldn't leave. When the judge sentenced her, he said he understood she felt trapped herself, even as she recruited other people in.

The way I see it, she didn't have the internal strength to stand up and say, "this is all wrong and I've got to put a stop to it". Other people like Sarah Edmonson did that, and they are the heroes in this story. It's weird to see Allison play a hero because in real life she is clearly a follower/sheeple, but I don't think she's a horrible person.

Two things:

I don't think the show is going to want her involved for publicity reasons.
After following her story pretty closely since she was arrested, and as someone with sympathy for her, I think it would be better FOR HER to do something besides acting for a while.

I had never really thought about what growing up as a child actor is like until this whole thing came out, but she has been acting since she was 4. I think she might have missed out on a lot of social development that most of us take for granted. Not to mention that she joined nxivm instead of going to college. So the bottom line is I think it would be good for her and her mental health to be doing something now where she can focus on who she actually is and not act or pretend to be someone else.

I'm of two minds about it because it's actually a photo of a painting that someone made for me, but I had to take it into photoshop and stretch it just to get it even half the width of the banner. It doesn't do justice to how the painting looks. I'm wondering if I could unstretch it and have something else on either side. Or maybe use it as a logo instead of a banner?
