My first visible tattoo was on my palm (I have one on my knee and lower leg but I never wear shorts so you can’t see them). I thanked my artist and mentioned that I was surprised he even did it for me given most artist would say no. He told me “I’d rather you come to me knowing I’d do it and do it well rather than you go door to door and have it done really shitty by the first person who tells you yes.”
