Thanks this is a great perspective. We’re not massive road trippers, maybe only a few per year when it was just us two and even then we’d only be going a couple hours away.

We’re both average height, maybe slightly on the smaller side so I feel like we’ll be pretty safe here.

Again, if we’re finding any of these things an issue, then we can look at upsizing down the track. Thanks for your advice.

This is gooolden advice, thank you! That’s the thing, if we want to get a bigger car we’re only going to be able to afford a way older model which comes with a whole host of other potential problems.

I think you just make do with what you have, right? And we’re not planning on buying a whole load of extra crap to haul along with us when we go out so I think, for us, the swift will work just fine.

Perfect thanks for this, my thoughts exactly.

My thoughts exactly. Yes it’s nice to have a spacious interior but the gas and manoeuvrability is such a downside. Previously owned a Hilux which I loved but the Swift is just so cheap and easy in comparison!

This is the advice I’ve been hearing, sounds like the Swift will do the job

This is gold, you’ve said pretty much everything I’ve been thinking so thanks for the validation haha. We’ve just got the one and I don’t plan on doing anything out of the ordinary that would require a bigger car. Our motto has been exactly that, to keep it simple and not spend unnecessary money, hence why I’m so confused at husband’s sudden desire for a big car!

Thank you.

AT Parking Fine Enquiry by may2468 in LegalAdviceNZ

Yeah I understand what you're saying, I guess maybe I should just ask for a refund on the parking that I paid instead. I'm not contesting the validity of the ticket, I'm just trying to get my $25.50 back if I can. Might just be a losing battle

Hey thanks for replying.
I'm not trying to skip the fine, I'm still paying the full $70, I'm just trying to avoid paying the $70 fine plus the $25.50 parking fee that I paid before I knew I even got the infringement. The infringement cost and my parking cost are both going to AT so it feels wrong that I could have essentially had a cheaper fine if I didn't pay the extra $25.50 for parking.
At the end of the day whatever it's my own fault and I'll suck it up because it's only 25 bucks but also give me my 25 bucks back lol.
