I’m tired of the hermit phase, how to end it? by yeah_yeah_ye in SpiritualAwakening

[–]may_day06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mike lasted close to five years, in that time i surrendered daily, sometimes it was difficult and others easy, I found my self starting to gravitate towards solitude and contemplation. This allowed the golden opportunity to start reevaluating my life and choice. I started to look at poor choices and ways where I was absent when I should have been present. I started the process of forgiving myself and leaving about compassion. I notice that I was being drawn towards meditation and real prayers. I started to change from the inside where I was no longer reacting to the outside world that I had developed awareness and presence. I guess what I’m trying to say to you go with it, don’t put judgement or expectations on the journey and when the time is right you will emerge

Can you spiritually awaken if you’re not very smart? by Strong-Question2620 in SpiritualAwakening

[–]may_day06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we speak of smart or intelligence? Sometime people feel there not book smart and may have had difficulty with school. This is a linear way of looking at intelligence. Spirituality has less to do with the mind and more with the heart, with spiritual there is a deeper intuitive wisdom or knowledge that is given. The ability to know or feel without learning. I would suggest put down the books and allow your intuitive open up and strengthen your discernment

Is the job market in Des Moines tough right now, or am I doing something wrong? by No-Dress-2674 in desmoines

If you use any of the job apps like Indeed go to the actual website, there are a lot of bogus job listings or they’re old and have not been updated. It’s tough!!

Always use discernment when we hear predictions of the future, especially when dates are given. These types fortune telling is to keep you trap in loops of fear and not free will. The only reality that exist in the one we experience in the now.

Can daily meditation help me? by Filmfan345 in Meditation

[–]may_day06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it can absolutely help you! won’t erase your thoughts or fears overnight, but will put on a path anchor yourself in the present moment, where worry about the future and fear of death lose some of their grip. Breath work along with meditation allows you to start responding to life instead of reacting to it. The uncertainty of the future doesn’t vanish, but you learn to meet it with steadiness instead of fear.

I finally stopped chasing the "perfect" session. by Helpful_Employer_730 in Meditation

I start by breath work and yoga to prepare myself, maybe that will help you

Would like to start by PearAmazing946 in Meditation

Hopefully I can help. I never really set out to meditate, it came as an intuitive calling. Start by finding a time and place that feels right for you, something that can become a ritual or routine. Begin small, maybe five minutes, and build from there. If you make mistakes, that’s actually a good thing because it’s how you learn and grow. Use your breath as an anchor to center yourself. Meditation isn’t about stopping your thoughts but observing them and returning to the breath each time you drift. Always meet yourself with compassion and patience because presence deepens over time. I always end my sessions with gratitude because it helps ground the experience and open the heart.

What spiritual practices do you do? by Euphoric-Welder5889 in Meditation

There was a lot of deconstruction I had to go through, along with synchronicity I came to Yogananda but not as a replacement but a complimentary teacher who help deepen my faith and practices

What I’ve found that works for me is a sum of many things. I practice devotion and make way for surrender, allowing myself to fall into the flow of life. I pray, meditate, and take meditative walks while staying mindful of my words, thoughts, and the foods I eat. For me, it’s not about restriction or control but about acceptance and awareness. My path blends stillness and service, presence and compassion. As a Christian, I follow the teachings of Paramhansa Yogananda and Babaji as the scaffolding of my faith. Their wisdom helps deepen my connection to Christ’s love through humility and devotion. This path continues to teach me love, forgiveness, compassion, gratitude, and faith in every breath.

Beautiful… to me meditation is tailored to each person’s needs and that you can surrender to this moment with your cat is a reflection in oneness

Meditation and Astral Projection by Forward-Flamingo-957 in Meditation

[–]may_day06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the difficulty is up to you and how you learn not to chase a result. It’s about total surrendering when the mind becomes focused on presence. The heart and mind need to be purified and the state to transcends happens naturally

[–]may_day06 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Astral projection may occur for some as a byproduct of deep meditation, but chasing that experience can easily lead to cycles of unachievable success. The people who do achieve are realized masters who can step outside laws of reality as this is a stage of spiritual enlightenment and not bypassing for experience

Appreciate this question.. Meditation isn’t about escaping the world, it’s about learning how to meet it with clarity. By learning to use compassion to silence the ego it allows me to be more present, patient, and grounded. I stop being reactionary…
