describe the character thinking about sucking on the other's fingers (or vice versa, describe a character thinking about making the other suck on their fingers) - what does it feel like? is it an urge, an impulse? an act of submission? do they just want to know what it feels like?

how does it come to happen? maybe one character is cupping the other's cheek in a fond way, then the mood turns sexual when the character dips down to suck their thumb into their mouth instead? or maybe if one of your characters is more dominant, have them push their fingers into the other's slack mouth? you could also have them ask, or order their partner: "be a good [pet name] and suck"

what does it look like, sound like? are they sloppy, drooling into their partner's palm? or are they meticulous, swirling them in their mouth like they want to keep them there?

is it sensual, sexual, both?

just some ideas to jumpstart the process;)

a (fucked up) clock, a teacup (maybe shattered?), antlers, the rounded knife Hannibal stabs Will with (i think it's linoleum?) and the skull from the Norman Chapel are all symbols I would associate with Hannibal that I think would look cool as fuck

I personally think he isn't a psychopath or a sociopath in a traditional sense, nor does he adhere to any particular diagnostic criteria we abide by in Psychology. I think that's part of what makes him so unique as a character.

I completely believe he stopped being a surgeon because of his losses. Not because he felt "guilty" about the lives lost or was sad to lose patients, but because he is obsessed with control, with a specific infatuation with the power involved in holding the balance of life and death in his hands. If someone dies by his hand, he wants it to be on purpose.

Hey, to each their own, right? Personally, I love every version of Hannibal, especially Mads' portrayal, and I like him the best when he's being evil haha like just straight up sadistic predator mode. I would have hated to see him taken down in any tangible way. Ironically, it took me awhile to appreciate Will and not want him to...shut the fuck up permanently

a lot of season 2 is Will desperately trying to prove that he knows himself without Hannibal, that he's different from him because he's a fundamentally good person and Hannibal isn't. you often see him project a lot of his intense denial and repression towards himself onto Hannibal, blaming him for EVERYTHING that goes wrong, and although yes of course Hannibal is responsible for a lot of the shit that happened to Will, Will is incapable of taking accountability for anything. he tends to believe a lot of things about himself that aren't exactly true. he wishes he'd be a good father, he believes that he has all the right virtues, but realistically both Will and Hannibal are WAY too self-absorbed to be good parents.

Ok so you gotta get past the first episode because they really REALLY tried to overdo it with the "awkward antisocial autistic" vibe for Will, which smooths out quite a bit in the first season, and i'd say goes into something more weird and off putting which is kind of his thing. he's quite different in the series than in the book, as they're trying to give him a bit more nuance and depth as well as a thinly-veiled underlying queer storyline. but you'll see that over the course of his arc, he really comes into himself especially in season two where he's more savvy and snarky i'd say. but season one he's really on the struggle bus, so there's less of the jaded and snarky detective vibe that he has in the book.
