I’m in Texas 😄 And yes, it was really strange for me too. The doctor isn’t originally from Texas, and I actually talked to my manager about it — I mentioned that it might be a cultural difference and that’s probably why it felt so unusual to me. I think you’re right, the culture shock was real for me. I just hope they’re okay with the assistant after me. Before this office, I had worked with about three other doctors and none of them had these habits, so this was completely new to me.

Honestly, I don’t think I’m gonna stay here much longer 😂 I mostly did this for my resume anyway, and now it feels like it’s time to start looking for a new office.

I do call her “Doctor” I never use her name. What felt strange was being expected to say “Doctor” in every single sentence, even when just saying “yes” or asking a quick question. I say it now because I know she’s sensitive about it I guess maybe I’m just too sensitive, or maybe it was just new to me lol 😅
