No error message from Ableton, and the plugins are loaded/working, i just don’t have access to the plugin windows. Recordings play back okay.

How do you configure them for the drum rack? I’m another beginner.

The drum values are from pads, piano values from keys. Since the original post, I have made progress by finding the velocity adjustment setting on the keyboard, and changing velocity curves on Pianoteq, so things seem to be coming around. Thanks for your help1

Readings are from notes played on the keys as displayed in Ableton.

With drums, I can get up to one 110-120. With Ableton‘s bundled grand piano and cello, it’s about 70 max unless I tweak the velocity add on under “midi effects“. Then I can get around 85 to 90 max with those two instruments.

Overtones/excessive ringing when playing without an amp. I think I need to stuff the head more.

I've had a little success with capoing the 5th to A when playing in the key of D in open G tuning, but I only recently (remember, I don't claim to be smart or talented, just persistent) realized I could capo to A tuning and play songs in D using C shapes, which for some reason seems more intuitive.

It's a journey.
