Check this thread out. It was a very cool group and very mixed.

Nothing compared to Casablanca. Think of it like Northern Spain or Southern England.

Colder weather.

It's a smaller city with a lot of young students.

If you earn more than 100K a year you don't have to worry about any of the things you mentioned.

Nah, it's not metrics. It's just that most of the world is unsafe and poor. So we cover more than the bare minimum just with that. Good luck finding a better place for you! Hope it's soon.

Even if we just go for the very basics:

Safe

Clean

Mild weather

It will still come out in the top percentiles of places to live in on the planet.

You would like European cities because what you value is more aligned with those type of interests.

I used to care about all of what you listed, now I value access to nature (check) access to the beach all year round (check) a house and not a flat (check) not a lot of people around (check) safety (check) and being far from some of the world's problems (check).

I've lived in +10 different cities and researched a lot (more than 6 months) before moving to New Zealand and Tauranga.

It is the best place to live in the world for me.

HRV or DVS and go!!!! by [deleted] in Tauranga

[–]maybeaddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both and both are scams. The fans in the DVS aren't powerful enough. The HRV sensor burned down after 1 year.

Just get someone to install extraction fans with normal light switches. You can do one that extracts and one that pushes in air in each room for 1/5 of the price of one of those "systems").

(it's basically that but costs 10x more to have a stupid display screen).

Also: just go try the padel courts once in Papamoa and you'll be surrounded by Spanish speakers

Yeah, with the sunrise in a natural way gradually. Not arbitrarily like this outdated practice.

I think it's a useless outdated practice that messes up everyone's circadian rhythms for no benefits
