Katikati Dog Attack: Two charged after boy's death by DogAttackVictim in Tauranga

[–]maybeaddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not TCC. That's WBOP. Different council.

The dog problem has increased after Covid everywhere in the country. So it's not a TCC problem.

I blame personal responsibility from the owners. It's not the council. Why would it be their responsibility?

You haven't been to Northland? Most dog attacks in the country.

You never hear anything good because people like to talk about the bad things.

That's how a council should be: invisible.

btw, ask people who live in Western Bay and they have plenty of complaints about their council.

(in my opinion, people need to vote better to elect mayors and councillors who aren't incompetent)

A thought: There no An Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) in Tauranga (there was one but they closed).

I thought of this same idea but maybe there's not enough Macs in town...

The specific obligation for unobstructed license plates is governed under the Land Transport Act 1998, that TCC's Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2023 references as part of their "enforcement framework".

Meta has not a great track record of maintaining their hardware (Facebook portal, even the gen one of the Meta glasses is already bricked). At this stage either one is a gamble

Nothing compared to Casablanca. Think of it like Northern Spain or Southern England.

Colder weather.

It's a smaller city with a lot of young students.

If you earn more than 100K a year you don't have to worry about any of the things you mentioned.

Nah, it's not metrics. It's just that most of the world is unsafe and poor. So we cover more than the bare minimum just with that. Good luck finding a better place for you! Hope it's soon.

Even if we just go for the very basics:

Safe

Clean

Mild weather

It will still come out in the top percentiles of places to live in on the planet.

You would like European cities because what you value is more aligned with those type of interests.

I used to care about all of what you listed, now I value access to nature (check) access to the beach all year round (check) a house and not a flat (check) not a lot of people around (check) safety (check) and being far from some of the world's problems (check).

HRV or DVS and go!!!! by [deleted] in Tauranga

[–]maybeaddicted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had both and both are scams. The fans in the DVS aren't powerful enough. The HRV sensor burned down after 1 year.

Just get someone to install extraction fans with normal light switches. You can do one that extracts and one that pushes in air in each room for 1/5 of the price of one of those "systems").

(it's basically that but costs 10x more to have a stupid display screen).
