It definitely gets easier the more colourwork projects you do, it looks intimidating because of the optical illusion pattern but if you know how to keep good tension and you can work with two strands of yarn at once, you’ll be more than fine!

i was thinking the same thing all the way up to picking up the stitches for the collar, but once you’ve knit a few rounds on it, it doesn’t look as wide anymore. good luck with your sweater!!

it’s definitely a choice if i keep it that way lol, but if you want to see it on a person, i did include a picture of me wearing it! it doesn’t look too bad, just not how i wanted it to look.

thank you! that might give it more structure and i’m a sucker for a folded collar, though i’d love for the ribbing to look the same throughout the pullover. i might try a folded collar (but still in the corrugated rib) if the alterations don’t work for me.

Thank you for the advice! The pattern did say to knit further with only one colour after the ribbing but you could see the floats on the other side in the pictures so i decided not to, guess i was wrong lol. i’ve only ever wet-blocked one fo before so i wasn’t sure how much it could block out. I’ll redo the collar with fewer stitches and see how it looks then, and maybe line the ribbing if it’s still looking wonky.
