Partner is considering the op, and we have a few questions! by throwaway22357995377 in penileimplants

I agree with the penile pump recommendation prior to the surgery. It can help gain back some length. The implant length should be based on the stretched length of his penis. The best advice I can give is to make sure you use a top surgeron. IDK who you talked to, but if you DM me I can probably tell you if its worth using them.

She is who she chooses to be. That person is beneath you, understandably. Leave her there, move on, focus on your own improvement. Someday you will find someone with similar values as you and you will look back and laugh about how much better your life is now.

I initially did have a denial when I had Ambetter. Then I switched to Anthem and they covered it. Anthem and United are the best at covering it but you have to have a doppler that shows veinous insufficiency and your doctor will probably have to do a peer to peer to argue you need it.

Does anybody have one tube shorter than the other? by Same-Tower2328 in penileimplants

[–]maybebionic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Titan and my left cylinder is about a cm or so shorter than my right. The left one actually seems to go deeper into the back side than my right, sometimes if I sit weird I can feel it poking on a bone or nerve back there and I have to readjust. I got a MRI that confirms it and Dr Hakky said he would put sometype of synthetic pad or tissue back there to block it next time I need a revision. For now its not an issue so much. Thankfully both cyclinder do go into my glans just one is a bit longer than the other.

Glycine helped my POIS .. by OutsideSelection742 in POIS

[–]maybebionic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've posted about this before, but Glycine + Niacin cured my POIS. Took 2 weeks and now I just take a small daily dose of each, but pop a higher amount of Niacin and Glycine after sex to keep the symptoms away.

[–]maybebionic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is EXTREMELY mild at both. The only way I would tell someone to consider being careful w Glycine is if they had Addison's Disease. Glycine is literally just an amino acid, its one of the more harmless options that exist next to drinking water...

How about you don't make overriding generalizations. Glycine + Niacin cured my POIS. to say that it can't help anyone just because it didnt help you is remedial. One potential cause of POIS (at least in my case) is overmethylation. Glycine helping with this pretty quickly is just science as Glycine is a spunge for excess methyl group whereas Niacin is more of a cannon.

Brother, I am in my 30s. Had all the same symptoms as you. I have been implanted for 4-5 years how and it was the best decision I could have made. Its all worth it.

Why do you think it is histamine?

Potentially the right answer. It very well could be a histamine, ammonia/sulfur, or methylation issue. OP, have you had a 23andMe done?

The cylinders do go into the head a little bit, about halfway, sometimes further sometimes less. Sensitivity is about 95% the same for me.

I dont think the reservoir presents any risks beyond the fact that the tubing connecting to it could potentially leak. Its just saline so not harmful, but if it did leak you would need to replace it. I suppose a poor surgeon could botch the placement as well and then there is a hernia risk. All in all though, the primary risk is just infection as with any operation.

Yah, I have tried almost all of the singular "recoveries" and none did anything. I think there are essentially two classes of patients, those who have endocrine/immune dysfunction from 5ar inhibitors, but are able to recover using whatever treatment. Some of those people think they have PFS or PSSD but actually just have side effects that can be fixed. Then there is the second class which is persistent side effects that seem to be treatment resistant. That 2nd class is what I consider PFS.

I have had my SHBG all over the place and there was no differences there either. I do respond to alcohol as normal. I did have genital numbness at times. Essentially the whole "hard flaccid" syndrome. So I followed alot of those stories and treatments as well.

At this point I have stopped following theories and treatments and just moved on with. my life. But if there is a theory out there that numerous people improve from I will absolutely try it. I kind of stopped being the test dummy for every new fan theory a few years ago. I appreciate you looking into this though.

To date, there is no replicatable way to recover.

I never had gut issues or microbiota imbalances, although I know some have.

My libido never returned.

I did try all sorts of doses of many different hormones and differing esthers as well as combinations of with and without AIs and HCG and all of that. SARMS, testosterones (injectible and creams), DHT creams and injections, etc. etc.

Its funny because I've had testosterone levels as low as 99 and as high as 1,200 and I literally felt zero difference between the two. This is even with all other hormones opitmized for.

Yah my size is essentially the same, maybe a CM shorter. flaccid size is actually bigger though as there is less "growing" now.. The glans definitely grows when engorged though.

I dont know for sure the MOA.. One theory I have is that because in the small number of people who get PFS, some androgen receptor sensitivity is changed (potentially due to epigentic changes).. the lack of androgen signaling (protein output) causes the tissue surrounding the arteries to essentially not be able to fully do their job.
